Thanks SS. Will be drilled by Noble Sam Croft early September. Rig currently off New Orleans afaics. 1 well + 3 options. Apache drilling at 100% initially. Have a number of wells permitted. 7 play types gives 50 large prospects. Will be a 30 to 60 day well. Apache not giving much away at the moment - sounds like a big bet, based on thorough analysis of new 3D seismic.

Useful map from Carlos. Apache's block seems like a good address, but will it be gassy, if HC's?

Suriname From 2018

from 2019

Tullow has interests in three blocks in Suriname, Blocks 54, 62 and 47. Tullow and its Joint Venture Partners have decided to enter
the second phase of operations in Block 47. Following recent meetings, the Joint Venture Partners have chosen to drill the
Goliathberg-Voltzberg North prospect in 2020. The prospect lies approximately 260 kilometres off the coast of Suriname, in
1,900 metres of water and is one of a series of leads and prospects on the flank of the Demerara High.

Expecting to spud September getting closer to Guyana

Manicat ,I would love to know too! things will become clearer after Kanuku is drilled
If Joe and Carapa come in then Tullow are right in the thick of it!,I keep thinking of the channels that run into Jethro, I would sell everything right down to the office furnature before I sell Guyana.

Interesting that the rise in POO on the back of that draw is having no effect on the share price here, at PMO or ENQ. Bit of subdued enthusiasm in the wider markets at the moment. More and more talk of market corrections etc. Interesting times.

if a bid comes for tullow what is it worth to a major? does anyone have any realistic figures of a takeout price for tullow or does it have to many stranded assets in africa for a major to even run the slide rule over it

SS Think the writers comments on your link bit of fake news! Matter of interest "Liza Destiny" FPSO arriving shortly is double hulled I believe.

And on your link saw this comment by Jahn (scroll down)

"The Jubilee FPSO is no more second hand than any other converted FPSO in the world. Without using an existing tanker, First oil would have come much later, probably one year if the FPSO should have been new built – and the price would also been higher without giving much added value.

The IMO rules for SAILING tankers are clear, they are supposed to be Double Hull. However, IMO Edit: (International Maritime Organization) accept the use of Single hull FPSOs. There is also quite a few advantages with Single Hull FPSOs, with respect to corrosion and the ease of inspection of the tanks. And there has never been an oil spill due to a tanker colliding with a single hull FPSO. For reference, the operator with most FPSOs in the world and that has extensive experience, Petrobras – Prefer Single Hull FPSOs"

Iwonder if we are Single or double Hull?

Off Topic

Interesting story out of Brasil, where one of Petrobras's Modec built FPSO's* has developed cracks in the hull.

* this one

According to Brasilian press I've just been looking at crack(s) are up to 33m long. Vessel has been evacuated. Regular overflights. Not listing. Not as risk of sinking, although even that is a potential risk according to some. Vessel is still leased from Modec. Jubilee FPSO was leased from Modec initially, but the partners bought out the lease as that was meant to reduce OPEX..... that worked well. Selling the FPSO back to someone might reduce the debt SS!

finncap Reasearch,
Of note for Jethro is that the discovery contains only oil, with no
gas encountered.

It's confirmed. SF back to Ghana after Joe, but not for Tullow.

Springfield will utilize the Stena Forth in late September for a drilling campaign on WCTP Block 2. The campaign will first target the Oak-1x well on trend with the Beech discovery, made on the Deep Water Tano Cape Three Points block (DWT/CTP) to the south-west of WCTP Block 2.

That's a big bet for Springfield at 84%!

After Joe (result within 20 to 30 days?), Carapa (Sept spud) is a 60 day well with a TD of about 3,600m. Result late Oct/Nov then. Then there will be a drilling hiatus whilst the seismic gets re-processed, maybe with second phase of drilling Q2/3 2020? Expansion of program determined by results of Joe and Carapa.

Next well quite interesting. Low cost. But may open up a new play fairway. Assume that the 'octupus' is upper tertiary as well? We'll see.
