From a technical perspective I think share price still has a date with 135 area. I've missed a lot of potential trading profit by avoiding this share for a long time because of this belief. I did get a quick in and out profit over the last 2 weeks or so though.

I shudder to think where would be if Jethro hadn't been a success.

Hi Billy,Once they understand the Gas composition it will get clearer I noticed they mentioned Crab Island I wonder if they have any small Islands close by,I was on the start up and Operation on Das Island Abu Dhabi Lng plant 2 train in 1976/79
all great stuff.First Overseas post, cryogenics!

Hi SS

Jubilee solved the problem of re-injection by having two compressor trains one for the gas to the beach and the other an HP compressor for gas re-injection. However with no shore process facility operational injection back to reservoir was impracticable.

CAPEX for gas handling is a major major expense; dewpointing, power generation, rotating equipment etc and is also major OPEX expense i.e. maintenance of any facility.
TLW gave too much away (my opinion)in Ghana and production was lost.

Guyana prepares for a massive infrastructure boost no doubt, especially electricity and gas usage. How much can be piped ashore from XOM etc will increase accordingly.

FLNG as an option for surplus gas if over 2 tcf reserves has been mooted by others.

Wow! Morning, we are on target with our thoughts,Its great to get some value out of the Gas and as Billy said yesterday depending on Composition Propane and Butane production this could all take shape later.
My only reservation would be we must be flexible any security problems onshore we can switch to injection of Gas offshore to keep the Oil Production going.

Morning SS found this on ECO's website. It's a solution for Liza Destiny (only talk perhaps, and Exxon may not be on same page). It all sounds quite similar to Jubilee. Initially gas wasn't an issue in Ghana, but with passing of time the GOR seems to have increased, or there was a risk of damaging the reservoir as you said. At one point they obtained a special exemption for temporary flaring until delayed gas to shore came online.

Hydrocarbon gas is usually readily available from the field itself or adjacent fields and is thus most widely used, especially in fields where there is no ready market for the gas [22,51,53,56]. In most cases, however, the produced gas that was originally associated with the oil has to be artificially enriched with heavier components in order to make it miscible or nearly miscible with the oil. It may also have to be supplemented with gas from other sources or water injection (see §3b) because the volume of produced gas, when re-injected, may not be sufficient to maintain reservoir pressure above the minimum miscibility pressure (MMP).

very interesting examples in this document its a long read.

I noted that 3 injection wells .Reading about Ghana years ago I understood you can damage the wells by over injecting.so I was thinking they need an outlet,

SS if that were to happen Tullow Guyana would be a subsidiary of some other company!

Also note on Liza Destiny: "Gas is separated from the oil and re-injected back into the reservoir"

Was looking at 'Georgetown Port' on Marine Traffic/Expected Arrivals

Liza Destiny came up [ETA : 2019-08-28 06:00]. MT photos show a tanker. But it's the actual FPSO conversion for XOM. 1st oil for Guyana around the corner.

=====================================

Billy - Also the Rowan Jack Up EXL 2 Rig for Kanuka, seems to be about 3 kms east of Repsol Teak B, in what appears to be a BP(TT) block. OTOH EXL 2 may be slightly further due south on Mango.
