I have bailed out. Don't think the company is bad, but the short term future looks bleak.

interesting last paragraph in poor interim results
"Despite the several early months of subdued trading conditions, as presaged in
earlier statements, Trio continues in a healthy state with good technology and
infrastructure, excellent broking staff, and a very sound financial base.
Interestingly in January 2003 the listed stock broking company Collins Stewart
plc acquired Tullett plc, a large competitor money broking group: also in the
same month, ICAP plc announced the acquisition of BrokerTec, an electronic
interdealer broker in the global fixed income markets. Indeed a climate of
consolidation persists in this highly competitive industry. In conclusion,
assuming that markets now continue to return to being moderately active, I view
the future with cautious confidence."

Davron8.........yesterday we had what appeard to be two sizeable sells, one for 100k and theother for 150k.

Seeing this trade for 250k I would suggest to you that todays 250k was in fact from yesterday and was the seller who supplied the 100k and 150k which I believe were buys, not sells.

I apologise for being so aggressive, my remarks were meant as light hearted banter not nasty.

I've held this stock and done very well from it, and like yourself I believe it has a bright future. The thing is, stock prices dont go up in straight lines, and I believe the results will be inline but sold off by the city (we see this so often). With a bit of luck, I am hoping to buy back in around 16p.

Good luck.

Jitters, with sells today of less the £10000 of stock, a fall back of 3.2%. Before suggesting others talk drivel, in this case myself, don't you think a few more buyers each day is what is need, instead of bouncing up and down on small trading. Price may be MM's want to get some stock pre the next set of figures.

PS yes I have now seen a late sell of 250,000 shares and the price has stayed put for time being.

Jitters, It needs more than one buyer, even if it is for 1% of the shares to kick start a steady rise. Once the MM's have covered a big order the share starts bouncing around again. We need a steady flow of buys to prevent the MM's accumu;ating stock. All the fundamentals say this share is undervalued IMHO. I do hold.

LOL, LOL, LOL..........Davron8, it might help if you checked the recent RNS announcements from the company before you spout such drivel.

The buyer is there, and buying!!!

Chart is interestingly poised.....just come back a third time off 23.5 which suggests it could now head lower in the short term. I would however expect it to make a fresh and hard break of 23.5p at some point though, just a question of when.

Phil

Not currently holding by the way.

Delboy, Lets hope someone starts to check this share out. IMHO well undervalued but needs some large buys to kick start it. At present just bouncing around with market sentiment. Good luck to all

Speaking to my broker on Thursday, he mentioned there was an institutional buyer snapping up stock. Could be a bidder or a fund with specialist small cap bias. Whatever it is, seems like the shares may break through the resistance level at 24p!

Strip out the cash and you have a market cap of £8m and sales of £34m :-)

Aside from a Squiddly Diddly low PE and a nice 3%+ yield.

Looks like TRN is just about to make a chart breakout to a new high.

Could be plenty to go between now and the results imo.
