to get you vote to count in court you need to do is as follows,
1) Ask your broker or whoever holds your shares in their nominee account to take ONEshare out of your account and issue you with a share certificate. You will need your IVC number to arrange for a proxy vote that can be used in court. (I think IVC means Individual Investor Code for the share)
2) the Registrar for the company is Link Asset Services hxxps://www.linkassetservices.com/shareholders-and-investors/shareholder-services-uk Contact them and ask them for the proxy vote paperwork. It should take less than 24 hours for them to have your IVC number if they don’t just call them again until they do. Do not wait to receive the certificate in the post to get your IVC number phone them later on in the day or 9am the next morning and ask them for the proxy vote paperwork. Be persistent and make sure it is done properly
3) find someone who is going to the court, and you can trust and ask them to vote on your behalf.
4) You will have to send to the proxy an original letter giving them the right to vote on your behalf. Send Royal Mail Special Delivery or First class Signed for. They will have to take it to the court to prove they have the right to vote on your behalf.
You now act and count as one vote in the court proceedings.
Perhaps you should contact ShareSoc to find out if there is a trustworthy person who can vote on your behalf. Remember your individual vote counts, if you have a share certificate.
Time is of the essence so act now

I am very tempted to sell today and forfeit a couple of hundred pounds in the hope that whomever buys them is going to vote NO

Odey wants 7p............

Shareholders seem to want refinancing.

Both appear to be voting for oblivion.

Red card from LSE, it only took 2500 posts 18 hours a day for 4 months nonstop saying the same thing.
I think they overreacted.

They should go to the meeting in person if they feel strongly.

"I've heard that some brokers hold investors shares in a way that does not allow them to register votes."

Depends on the vote.......

one vote is based on the number of shares, you should be able to make that vote.

BUT, the other is one 'shareholder' 1 vote, and because all the shares are held in one 'nominee account' it counts as one vote.

One vote for the whole nominee account, with possible a few thousand private shareholders in it.

Thats the issue.

Can't understand why people saying to vote no on here. Comes down to getting 5.5p, or to say no and shareholders get nothing. Then further down the line AAL or another company pick it up for practically nothing. All the people pumping on here over the years John'Wise')/Amaretto etc...) really should feel ashamed of themselves.

I've heard that some brokers hold investors shares in a way that does not allow them to register votes. This may mean such lost votes do not count towards the 75% needed t pass the resolution. Halifax share dealing is one I have heard of. If true it does not bode well for the "yes vote". Anyone any knowledge of this.

Vote No, teach the management of SXX a lesson.

Investors may learn something as well.

I bought the day before the bid, and sold the day after.

I no longer hold any.

This only ends one of three ways, IMHO.

1. 5.5p and sold to AAL
2. Prepack to AAL
3. Liquidation

There are no other buyers, there is no reason for AAL to increase offer.

So vote NO, then a white knight may come charging in and save you, and then you woke up.

Why didn't you sell at 55 then, what possible reason would you have to hold all the wy through and take on boards all the risk for no reward. Why?

VOTE NO, take the survey at www.fundsirius.com and tell your friends and family, whether they are shareholders or not, to also take the survey.

Vote NO.......

I would love the NO vote to win, really.

Given I have little doubt what the outcome would be.....

Prepack straight to AAL, I'd be very surprised if they haven't already got the lawyers working on a prepack deal.

Just in case.
