Haha, well as you may have gathered I'm still optimistic for the future and since I didn't sell, technically I've lost nothing.

Hopefully not too many were affected by the plunge or sold on unfavourable terms. Still hopeful of a recovery sooner rather than later.

IMO, the paymaster was only the link between the NY finance people and mlellan, who ran the boiler room.......although she did know a bit.....and the Hedge Fund were in there some where as well...."top boy, on the top team".....

As I understand it, rhubarrbie (rhubarb) died as well, killed himself, some say.


Anyway, with oil at $80....they must be thinking about developing the field.

I met up with one of the midmoney XER losers (but for him, everything, maybe family too) several weeks ago, someone I'd earlier met on an OB presentation with me in disguise. I was passing by the area and wondered if he'd pick up the phone. We did, and had a good natter. He had cancer in remission but it is back with a vengeance.

He was so coldly factual about what he would do to Rupie the Bear I began to believe him. I don't feel the slightest reason to whistleblow, and almost every day check the papers to see if anything happened to the coalface. I've a prize bottle of Glenfiddich which I've saved to open if there's news.

But, some I have followed are:

CHAR...the North/South Tapper and Nimrod drills....and we still don't know what was in these wells.

Big day on site today. TV, dignitaries & school children name the vertical boring machine as it starts it journey down to a 1/3 of a mile for the 23 mile tunnel. The machine is even more impressive close up. WOW!

Shareprice was 38p ish a month ago Mr oz. Their max uplift is 42p and vols didn't jump aftermarket by the CB funds (apart from the funny 4mm on Friday before the US BH weekend when I noted I expected 800k).

They certainly didn't do anything the week of the announcement - in fact their sales were disappointingly slim as I noted at the time.
