26/9/2017 21:09 | So, the end game has been played. I've been with PAYS since the 90p OPAY days and it's been a real money maker for me. It's a shame that, on the face of it, we've been sold out at a cheap price but then none of us have the insight of the BOD. They may have stitched us up but they got us to this point, so I am not going to totally crucify them. Been some great analysis on this board but, I am afraid, a lot of investors just a bit too driven by greed and a certain innocence about just how cut throat the markets and big business can be. Simply turning every bit of news into a positive, whether it was or not, or continually comparing to other similar companies was not the way to look at it. I kept asking why, if 590p was so cheap, we were not seeing mire bids. Nobody answered and most seem to have lost sight of the most basic rule of any market in any field, anywhere. Namely, how everything is only ever worth what someone will pay for it. No brilliant analysis, no hype, or no wishful thinking was going to alter that. Too many investors today forget this fact, despite having the ability to crunch numbers in a zillion different ways. I will miss the excitement of PAYS and don't expect to find such a good share anytime soon but it's over now. That is, of course, unless another bidder comes in. It's very doubtful but are the BOD now legally bound to the 590p? I don't know enough to say. | ![]() phoenixchi
26/9/2017 20:45 | Superadams, thanks for that,I will checkout FFX sadly I am going off good quality management we had that with PAYS but effective wealth creation did not include us in the long run!! | ![]() critter
26/9/2017 20:41 | Mange Tout Mange Tout Rodney!! :) | ![]() critter
26/9/2017 20:23 | Like 'critter' I've been in PAYS/Optimal Payments a long time and have made decent money along the way. Apart from feeling completely stitched up, what is sad is that no one else appears to have seen the potential value in PAYS and come in with a rival bid. C'est la vie et bon chance. | ![]() slaccs
26/9/2017 19:56 | Critter, I have gone into similar digital cos like XLM ( big time ) and now TAP but a co v. similar to PAYS is FFX which is well worth a look. Good management pedigree. | ![]() superadams
26/9/2017 19:50 | Been in for years and optimal/paysafe has helped me see the world! As many have said a great board (I am mainly a stalker!) too many great contributors to mention but Wolf, total respect for all the research and incisive commentary throughout. I have been into XLM for a while (great divi!) and am now looking at Safecharge and IQE not considered TAPS but will give it a look. Also playing around with Crypto Currencies which is "white knuckle" but fun and can be very profitable, memories of the tech boom back in the day and will probably end up the same way! Thanksall and any suggestions for investing my profits gratefully received. GLA | ![]() critter

26/9/2017 18:54 | Could a white knight appear now with a higher bid or is it all over? | ![]() trentendboy
26/9/2017 18:52 | Best of luck to all. For what it's worth I went into wpg to get sector exposure, centralnic, xlm and taptica | ![]() eh9
26/9/2017 18:20 | I am disappointed but can't complain - having already been in for years I loaded up on the time of rights issue at 267p (166p cash) across several accounts and unfortunately house is cashing us out at 590p - not every day you do better than double on a stock Best of luck to you all, it has been a pleasure exchanging thoughts and analysis - some great posters on here and overall one of the best bb i have seen. If anyone has any suggestions for how we might share next targets on here now e are all about to be cash rich please do post - would be a shame to let such a good board of people disband. Best of luck all | ![]() wolfhound1
26/9/2017 18:15 | Also the court meeting was not at the court, it was at the Pays HQ. The chair of the meeting was the Chairman of PAYS itself and the person responsible for counting the votes. You could not make it up. | ![]() ralphmalph
26/9/2017 17:58 | This type of situation, i.e. where there are a large number of 'abstentions' = mainly private holders who cannot or do not know how to vote, will continue as long as it remains legal for nominees not to keep their customers informed and request a response. The matter should be raised with your MP. My own experience was that HL were brilliant with all the data and on-line voting made very easy, Selftrade were responsive to a secure email but not proactive. Barclays were obscure, totally failed to flag up the action and seemed to know nothing about it unless one was persistent and even then one wonders whether their 'system' managed to get it done. As regards those using a nominee, each nominee will be classed as one shareholder although they may in fact represent many beneficial holders like you or me. Readers may wish to take ease of voting into account when choosing their nominee. If enough do so, that alone will help to encourage all nominee companies to up their game to the level of the best. PS: Given the very narrow margin in this particular case, one feels that it may be open to legal challenge. All that should require in these circumstances is for a relatively small irregularity to be found. | ![]() boadicea
26/9/2017 17:43 | Pshelvin. I think it might have been u who put me on to XL Media. Thanks for that btw. You mentioned shorting in the next sentence. That wasn't a ref. to Xlm was it? | ![]() scooper72
26/9/2017 17:31 | Well I'm sitting on a very decent profit having been in for 5 years and adding when I could.What do I feel?ROBBED!!! | ![]() f1araway
26/9/2017 17:18 | Looks pretty fishy doesn't it 1 Did all the votes get forwarded correctly for example did Barclays forward theirs in time 2 The vote was so close as to be suspicious given the no of non voters | ![]() s2lowner
26/9/2017 16:57 | Outrageous result.I suspect if every holder on here and voted no it might have swung it | ![]() trentendboy
26/9/2017 16:56 | Pshevlin if u like xlm you will also love tap which announced stonking interims today. | ![]() superadams
26/9/2017 16:47 | What about safecharge SCH, similar to PAYS. | ![]() johnv
26/9/2017 16:45 | Might as well wait to pick up the cash while I work out where it's going. Next best home for me was XLM. I don't really want anything that's being shorted at present. Any ideas? | ![]() pshevlin
26/9/2017 16:40 | Unbelievable conclusion. Thanks to Wolf, eh9 (whose instinct was spot on a few weeks back), Lomax, Ralph and loads of others for contributing to this board. Cheers all and best of luck. | ![]() bluebottle1
26/9/2017 16:39 | Angry at the what appears to be yet another stock market stitch up. When will these daylight robbers ever be brought to justice, the whole thing stinks. The BODs need investigating but as usual absolutely nothing will get done except the usual well done back slapping. How long will we have to wait to get the money?? | ![]() oohrogerpalmer
26/9/2017 16:33 | Sell tomorrow I think doesn't look likely a rival bid will come | ![]() saj3
26/9/2017 16:28 | Well all, looks like its over and out here. Its been a blast the last few years, but the fat cats win out again. Hope you all find a new home with as much potential and excitement as PAYS. Now the search starts for another home for my hard earned cash. Good luck all. | ![]() waylander2 |
