Another Arnab Basu interview, greater explanation of the benefits of the Covid Detector. From 12 minutes. Very informative. Costing £20 grand each

Yep, agreed AQC888. Is this the start of the next slide down? If everything is looking so rosy for KMK then why so many sells v buys?

It makes me wonder how many other claims are being exaggerated by the CEO. This is one of Kromeks most important announcements to investors in years. Playing games and teasing investors with the release date of critical information is pretty poor corporate governance.

Fair shout Dave but I’m sure I heard or read some somewhere “by the end of the week”. The “coming days” are all but gone. That was a week ago. No worries. Let’s hope it’s soon and what we want to hear.

Good post 33mick @ 08:38.
However, what’s happened to the results of those tests. Arnab said we should hear about them by end of last week. Wednesday all but over and not a word. Hope they’re going to be nothing short of spectacular (as we’re all led to believe) as and when they come through. Come on KMK!

Surely, Kromek's Covid Detector must be sought after, with the results of the trials coming any day now, hopefully.

The article on Polarean in today's Daily Telegraph ("Long Covid breathes yet more life into this market of MRI image enhancers") illustrates how generous a valuation investors will sometimes give to a company whose product they find exciting.
Polarean has a market cap of £194 million. Its turnover in 2020 amounted to under £1m and it carries net debt of £24 m.
Their product makes images of lungs whereas KMK's SPECT seems to be more concerned with breasts but both are obviously in the same business of Medical Imaging.
KMK has certainly suffered setbacks in this activity but my impression is that the group would have been profitable in 2020 had it not been for the effects of Covid and that we may reasonably for profits this year.

Look again for what it's worth coming from a varied engineering product design background Kromek are doing everything to the book.
Engaging with potential customers with thier Covid detection units.
The DARPA bio weapons civil and Military programmes are a separate project completely to the Covid airborne project the two are running in parallel if you like.
They are working on multiple unit designs at once with a full team of 20? Engineers, Software Systems costing and bio technicians....credit where credit s due comes to mind...In a few days hopefully as we're told first actual patho results will be released..then the news media and world press will have something to actually write about..as its a world first.

I think any company on AIM is going to come out well in comparison with TPG! I've been a vocal critic of Cartmell since his arrival, but thankfully sold out at that time and have never been remotely tempted since.

In his defence, I do get the impression that AB is trying to up his game on the PR front, which has to be a good thing. Now they need some solid sales...

Well Super I'm sure you follow many other companies as we all do here and I rate Kromek's PR up there with the best....you want to be a long suffering Investor in TPG to know the opposite end of Zero PR. The mangment have never done a single I interview on anything with anybody in years.
Nobody's ever heard his voice..haaa

Nick - you flatter me! But the last time I looked at the Kromek website back in January they had nothing about the biological threat detection system(s). I remember I wrote to them to complain, but never received a reply. No doubt it's better now, but kmk certainly don't go out of their way to keep either investors or potential buyers properly informed.

Supernumerary - from Jan this year, commercial sales expected 2021/2022

"The Group expects the first pilots with potential users to commence by the end of this financial year and anticipates commercial deployment in 2021/22."

It's a variation of the U.S DARPA funded project and partially UK funded. Your post is interesting because if someone who is as well-researched as you isn't aware of potential commercial sales this year / early 2021, then that highlights how under the radar KMK's project and solution is.

33Mick's YouTube video is at least comforting that the DARPA detector exists and looks a sensible size for widespread use.

Vaccines were all sold before they were developed. If I ran an airport or cruise ship I’d want to buy some options on the machines to guarantee my supply if they happen to work. They will be in huge demand they are confirmed to work. BA has been engaging publicly in other covid trials with other companies, eg;

I don’t see why BA or some other institution effected by the pandemic isn’t publicly engaging in a trial with Kromek.

AQC - how can anyone order detectors when they're at the start of a 2-year development programme?

I’m beginning to think that if at the beginning of the pandemic Kromek had a warehouse full of loo roll. Somehow, despite the country being desperate for loo roll, Kromek would find a way to fail to sell a single roll...

All looks very promising, still eagerly waiting for news of the covid trials though. Surely if the news is promising it wouldn’t be too hard to get some airport/airline/cruise company to publicly state they are ordering some detectors... That would hopefully finally get Kromek some media attention - and see the stock price start to rise...

I have a degree in hindsight. I think the share are very inexpensive at the moment. I remember playing golf with a director from Avon Rubber just after they won the first US MILITARY contract and he said buy as many as you can now and hold.I bought made 40% profit but if I held them now they would be worth pension amounts of moneyIn a month or so 20p will seem like a bargain
