Look again for what it's worth coming from a varied engineering product design background Kromek are doing everything to the book. Engaging with potential customers with thier Covid detection units. The DARPA bio weapons civil and Military programmes are a separate project completely to the Covid airborne project the two are running in parallel if you like. They are working on multiple unit designs at once with a full team of 20? Engineers, Software Systems costing and bio technicians....credit where credit s due comes to mind...In a few days hopefully as we're told first actual patho results will be released..then the news media and world press will have something to actually write about..as its a world first.

I think any company on AIM is going to come out well in comparison with TPG! I've been a vocal critic of Cartmell since his arrival, but thankfully sold out at that time and have never been remotely tempted since. In his defence, I do get the impression that AB is trying to up his game on the PR front, which has to be a good thing. Now they need some solid sales...

Well Super I'm sure you follow many other companies as we all do here and I rate Kromek's PR up there with the best....you want to be a long suffering Investor in TPG to know the opposite end of Zero PR. The mangment have never done a single I interview on anything with anybody in years. Nobody's ever heard his voice..haaa

Nick - you flatter me! But the last time I looked at the Kromek website back in January they had nothing about the biological threat detection system(s). I remember I wrote to them to complain, but never received a reply. No doubt it's better now, but kmk certainly don't go out of their way to keep either investors or potential buyers properly informed.

Supernumerary - from Jan this year, commercial sales expected 2021/2022 hTTps://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/london/kromek-KMK/share-news/Kromek-Group-PLC-Funding-to-advance-Bio-Threat-Det/84080669 "The Group expects the first pilots with potential users to commence by the end of this financial year and anticipates commercial deployment in 2021/22." It's a variation of the U.S DARPA funded project and partially UK funded. Your post is interesting because if someone who is as well-researched as you isn't aware of potential commercial sales this year / early 2021, then that highlights how under the radar KMK's project and solution is.

33Mick's YouTube video is at least comforting that the DARPA detector exists and looks a sensible size for widespread use.

Vaccines were all sold before they were developed. If I ran an airport or cruise ship I’d want to buy some options on the machines to guarantee my supply if they happen to work. They will be in huge demand they are confirmed to work. BA has been engaging publicly in other covid trials with other companies, eg; https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.traveldailymedia.com/british-airways-may-has-the-key-to-unlock-the-travel-world/amp/ I don’t see why BA or some other institution effected by the pandemic isn’t publicly engaging in a trial with Kromek.

AQC - how can anyone order detectors when they're at the start of a 2-year development programme?

I’m beginning to think that if at the beginning of the pandemic Kromek had a warehouse full of loo roll. Somehow, despite the country being desperate for loo roll, Kromek would find a way to fail to sell a single roll...

All looks very promising, still eagerly waiting for news of the covid trials though. Surely if the news is promising it wouldn’t be too hard to get some airport/airline/cruise company to publicly state they are ordering some detectors... That would hopefully finally get Kromek some media attention - and see the stock price start to rise...

I have a degree in hindsight. I think the share are very inexpensive at the moment. I remember playing golf with a director from Avon Rubber just after they won the first US MILITARY contract and he said buy as many as you can now and hold.I bought made 40% profit but if I held them now they would be worth pension amounts of moneyIn a month or so 20p will seem like a bargain

The US military are obviously taking protection against bio weapons seriously. First ive read about the French A/C, we had an outbreak of Covids on a Sub requiring a return to port and a complete crew change I remember. Synthetic Bioweapons Are Coming June 13, 2021 Homeland Security Today The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed critical weaknesses in the human domain of warfare at just the moment technology has emerged that gives bad actors new power to exploit those weaknesses. Developments in synthetic biology will create next-generation bioweapons, “human-domain fires” that will fundamentally change the strategic environment and create a threat naval planners must consider now, before it is encountered at sea. In a March 2020 press release praising the effectiveness of its preventative medicine, the Navy proudly declared: “No cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed aboard any U.S. 7th Fleet Navy vessel.”1 One week later, cases were spreading so rapidly, the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) effectively became a “mission-kill.” COVID-19 has demonstrated that biological threats are almost entirely unaffected by sophisticated kinetic, cyber, and electromagnetic defenses. The French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle reported in April 2020 that 60 percent of her crew was infected with COVID-19. French Admiral Christophe Prazuck warned “that the [medical] measures onboard were ‘obviously circumvented’ by a ‘stealthy, insidious virus.’”2 It can be debated whether the U.S. or French carriers would have stayed in the fight if COVID-19 had broken out during wartime. But a more lethal, deliberately devised, weaponized agent could eviscerate a fleet. hTTps://www.hstoday.us/subject-matter-areas/counterterrorism/synthetic-bioweapons-are-coming/

This is picking up coverage but it's in specialist mags this is from investors Chronicle earlier in the yearInvestors are rightly getting excited by Kromek's ground breaking prototype to sample air and identify the presence of any biological pathogen – including Covid-19 or any mutant version – that will be piloted in UK airports, hospitals and the retail sector in the coming months. It is based on Kromek's work in developing a mobile bio-security system capable of detecting airborne pathogens for an agency of the US Department of Defence. The detector is incredibly accurate, giving a false alarm in just one in 800,000 tests.Knowing a carrier is infected with a disease before they infect other individuals is key to halting the onset of an outbreak and will be critical in helping the world return to some form of normality even after the vaccine programme is rolled out. Other obvious non-military applications include use in sports arenas, theme parks, schools, offices and cruise ships. The fact that UK government agency Innovate UK is funding a £1.25m programme to customise Kromek's biological threat detection solution is a strong validation of the technology. Expect commercial roll-out later this year.COMPANIES June 14, 2021The Trader: FTSE hits post-pandemic high, Bitcoin leaps on Musk tweetThe potential profit windfall is simply not priced in, nor is the likelihood of Kromek returning to cash profitability in the 2021/22 financial year. Analyst Paul Hill at Equity Development values the annual global market for the biological threat detection devices at £500m and believes that Kromek could win a 20 per cent share on a 25 per cent profit margin, implying operating profit of £25m. Kromek only has a £45m market capitalisation. Moreover, with its working capital normalising, a £0.9m Covid-19 Paycheck loan set to be written off by the US Government, and a R&D tax credit of £1m due, then current net debt of £1.9m overstates the true position.

Very well said, AQC888. My thoughts exactly. This company and its products should be all over the press but they’re not. Why? I have a lot riding on this but it’s not just about me/us shareholders making a profit. (Or losing the lot) It’s also about the health and safety of us all everywhere. Arnab should be spelling it out today/tomorrow what he promised last week. Let’s see.

Not sure what’s going on with this company. There appears to be an imminent arrival of a game changing machine to fight the pandemic and future pandemics. Analysts predict the annual profit of this machine will be almost equal to Kromeks market cap. Yet nobody in the media seems to be interested in reporting it - dispute the pandemic being the main subject the media are interested in covering... and the market couldn’t care less it seems. All extraordinarily bizarre. Either everybody thinks this company is full of nonsense for some good reason I haven’t come across or there is going to be an explosion in Kromeks share price that is about to happen. The US and UK governments keep giving Kromek grants to develop the machine. Other detectors Kromek have developed work incredibly well and are apparently market leaders in the medical and radiation markets. Yet nobody seems to think they are a credible company able to produce a bio pathogen detector that works. I’m just totally confused why there isn’t a single article in the mainstream newspapers about this machine and it’s only reported in science and financial publications.

The CEO said last Monday in a Cenkos interview that the results of the biological pathogen detector trials would be in the ‘coming days’. He also said it would be ‘positive̵7; news. Can find the clip earlier on in this thread. I’d have thought ‘coming days’ would have mean’t by the end of last week...

Nothing new in that interview. However, I’m glad to see this back above the OO price but it should be higher still. Expected news this week should push this into the low .20’s and higher in the not distant future. If kmk can do what they expect from these tests/trials monitoring etc, then I believe this will be above £1 very easily. Fingers crossed anyway.

Shares Magazine has just published an article in The Kromek deal. This is an extractInvestment research house Cenkos said: 'We believe the commercial value of the system once rolled out could provide a revenue opportunity materially in excess of the development value awarded to date.'Cenkos forecasts £5 million of incremental revenues to 30 April 2022 to £15 million. Kromek owns the intellectual property and rights to commercialise SIGMA outside the US.
