14/7/2021 11:47 | QuePassa - I think you're chasing a red herring here. Ventilators were a potential that never came about. That's all. If you wanna beat KMK with a stick, I would say there's other ways to do it. Ventilators aren't a part of KMK's core business. Agreed, they probably never should have mentioned anything in an RNS unless it was actually 100% going to result in sales, as this leads to 'boy who cried wolf' affect. From the presentation, I've moved so far on from that RNS. It's history. Not KMK's finest moment. But a small blip that in no way has affected KMK's core business. The presentation showed a quality company with some really exciting possibilities. Let's see where the share price is, this time next year. I am watching and would now add more. | dougmachin
14/7/2021 11:43 | I bet the Navy s Covid problems were related to this latest MOD contract. Today's Proactive Investors comments. "Kromek targets record annual revenues after securing new contracts" "In Kromek’s new target area of biological-threat detection, the detection specialist has been awarded a £349,000 contract with the UK Ministry of Defence to develop its technology to meet defence and security" | 33mick
14/7/2021 11:22 | Thank you Doug for asking the question and eliciting an answer on the Ventilators. Appreciated. So despite the fanfare of their announcement, now we know according to your response that ZERO VENTILATORS were made during a time of grave national crisis. And a curious response that it was an issue with the UK government , not theirs. Must say , I don't really comprehend that. At that time, I thought the UK government was desperate for ventilators. But putting that conundrum to one side, in the same 15/4/20 RNS announcing the VENTILATOR project, Kromek said that the ventilators were to be sold in the UK and GLOBALLY. " Following the signing of a license agreement, which is expected shortly, Kromek intends to sell the ventilators in the UK and globally." Well, what about their GLOBAL sales of ventilators? Surely that can't be laid at the door of the UK government. What happened there? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
14/7/2021 11:21 | Today..BBC news- I was amazed there was no talk of it as she sailed out of Portsmouth only to return a few weeks later..and leave at a latter date. All those matlos were double jabbed, double PCR tested before boarding and it appears nothing can detect it well enough. 'An outbreak of Covid-19 has been confirmed on the Royal Navy's flagship, HMS Queen Elizabeth. The BBC has been told there have been around 100 cases on the aircraft carrier, which is part way through a world tour. Several other warships in the fleet accompanying it are also affected. Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said all crew on the deployment had received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and the outbreak was being managed. HMS Queen Elizabeth is about a quarter of the way through a 28-week deployment leading the Carrier Strike Group (CSG). It has now entered the Indian Ocean, and the Royal Navy says it is due to continue on its voyage to Japan later this year.' | 33mick
14/7/2021 11:05 | Very good write up Doug, I'm glad I tuned in, seems all very positive to me in all areas, the future potential bio detection/monitoring units sales are as you state not factored in to any projections. So to my eyes a very exciting story to follow. NHS based 3rd party accuracy and sensitivity tests being carried out If I heard correctly? Manufacturing/Produc And even the Chinese/Asian customer still could come good. All products in store awaiting onsite installation when techies can travel I believe. | 33mick
14/7/2021 10:50 | [1] I asked about any fundraising, answer was 'no' in the short / medium term. Maybe for a specific acquisition at some point, but a firm 'no'. [2] The 13 million Chinese product system is still there and will be delivered as a system as soon as people movement opens up. [3] The ventilators could have been made, but 0 were made. UK government, not KMK issue. Main point here though is that was just making something under license. The bio-detection excitement is totally different, this is creating intellectual property rights that is funded by 3 different agencies. So any skepticism felt due to the ventilators, shouldn't be carried over to the bio-detection. [4] On track to deliver significant revenue growth for full year 2022. 15 million revenue for '22, which is 50% growth (am I correct here?). This already has 76% visibility and the remainder should be easily achieved through pipeline. This does not include any of the bio-detection either (I think). [5] The medical imaging side sounded exciting too. 100 million possibility opening up. KMK and 1 competitor only, where KMK has the edge. Could be exciting. I feel after watching that more confident in this company than I ever have been. Their core businesses are also on the move. It's not just about COVID and pathogen detection. There are multiple milestones that can be achieved in 2022 to allow commercial development of the bio-threat detection systems. A lot more too. Watched and wrote this whilst teaching the wife to drive! Hope helps, cheers. DM | dougmachin

14/7/2021 07:29 | LOSS BEFORE TAX OF £6.3million. Another set of horrible figures. What happened to all the potential millions of revenues from the covid VENTILATOR project??? You know, where they announced with great fanfare they would be manufacturing ventilators in the UK under license from Metran?? This is what they said by RNS last year on 15/4/20 - but I can't see the ventilators featuring in today's results??????? "Kromek (AIM: KMK), a worldwide supplier of detection technology focusing on the medical, security screening and nuclear markets, is pleased to announce that it intends to commence the manufacture and sale of medical ventilators in the UK and globally under license from Metran Co., Ltd ("Metran"), a Japan-based leading developer of medical ventilator products and technology, to support the COVID-19 response. Kromek expects to commence production of ventilators before the end of April 2020 and to produce up to 2,000 units within twelve weeks, with 1,000 units available within eight weeks. Following the signing of a license agreement, which is expected shortly, Kromek intends to sell the ventilators in the UK and globally." ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

13/7/2021 20:15 | Well I would expect a confirmation that the technology works, given the CEO has been repeatedly saying the trials are positive. I’d also expect guidance of when commercialisation will start. Later this year has been suggested by Simon Thompson. Given they have a working version already being tested, with positive results, I shouldn’t think this should be too far away. As an added bonus I’d like to hear about a blue chip company who would like to buy or trial them. If these expectations are short sighed this green hand puppet will leave the Kromek party to the remaining muppets | aqc888
13/7/2021 18:41 | Well I don't expect 'all systems go' Were starting volume manufacturing tommorw....it's a specialised Very high tech product that is being developed and trailed. The product line that Kromek are developing here is unique and ground breaking. The US department of homeland security have been waiting over 10 years for this exact technology. It's no coincidence that DARPA have invested here. There will be refinements and development design mods as there is every product as it nears production release. Anyone who doesn't understand the evolution of innovative design is very...what's the word I'm looking for...let's say short sighted.. Think of a green hand puppet from the 70's Interesting times are coming I think. | 33mick |
