This is a very strange share and the reactions to news don’t make sense.

Very annoyed I bought some at 17.2p last week expecting a strong rally following Simon Thompson’s extremely positive write up and ‘strong buy’. Still hasn’t hit the print edition, should come out Friday, might start getting more buys on Monday when people read the article and see the share price still hasn’t rocketed yet.

Is it safe to say that the placing at 15p was to raise capital to scale up production and pay for any associated licence cost?

Has anyone thought maybe it's not just KMK trialing these potentially market leading Covid detectors at schools/airports? Maybe THE GOVERNMENT are also trialing/watching closely to assess their effectiveness?! They could drop 100's of millions on these at drop of hat if they like what they see.

Good link. Why didn’t the RNS read like that?

Yeah I've seen it Mike,All looks impressive, hoping once commercialised, the markets will waken up to its use.

Have you seen this Dexter, it's not easy to find on the Kromek site.

I'm looking forward to when it gets its own Product page and Name on thier site.

The Vids quite good to.

DARPA moving through the phases with Kromek product should give all investors a huge amount of confidence. Anyone who deals at that level with the US Dept of Defence clearly has a credible, functioning, reliable and relevant product.

Looks ready for rebound to me. Fall overdone, based on Arnab's positivity & comments from last week & future potential, not just covid related products of course.

2nd attempt..only on my mobile..fat finger!!

If it's been Rns'd I would believe it.
But only
a couple of weeks one jurno report said it had cost a million pounds to develop, which seemed unlikely today it's £14 million, I'm sure it's somewhere in between as the projects are ongoing and overlapping.

So a Jurno' miss Qoute would think about total contracts.

It is hard to keep up with all the US
, UK Innovation' and now recent Mod monies.

Someone's confident in Kromek's design and development abilities.
.
DARPA Phase 1 - £1.47 (2 million dollars). Start Dec 2018

DARPA extended £3.8 (up to 5.2 mil dollars) 27/5/20

DARPA Phase 2 - £4..3 ( 5.9 mil dollars) 14/06/21

UK inovate -. . £1.25 million program

Uk MoD - £349k

£1.47 + 3.8 + 4.3 +1.25 + 0.349 = £11.2 million

or 15.27million dollars @ today's ex

But I don't think you'll ever hear Kromek refer to the DARPA funded work as "grants".

The DARPA work coming with strict Contract criteria, milestones and targets to be meet. and all these overlap a bit.

14th June 2021 Vox site

'' $6m contract win for breakthrough biothreat detector''
'Today, pioneering radiation detection firm Kromek said that it had received a $6m follow-on order from DARPA. Covering Phase II of its development of a biological threat detector'

The latest MOD recent announced Just last week-

'In its new target area of biological-threat detection, Kromek has been awarded a £349,000 contract with the UK Ministry of Defence, through its Defence and Security Accelerator Open Call for Innovation programme, to develop its technology to meet defence and security requirements for wide-area monitoring of biological pathogens.'

The Northern Echo seems to be the place to go to read about Kromek! £14m to develop? Is that right? So Kromek have been using their own money, not just gov grants?

The vaccine data from the Israelis, normally well ahead of the game, has spoked the market big time. The fear of a stalled restart is far worse than any inflation fears. If this can get to market, what an opportunity for the company

Almost everything is down. Seems you need to have released very positive news or make popular vacinces to be up or holding ground today.
If we had a fully validated and in production covid detector than I imagine Kromek would be among the few risers. Until then we need to be patient.

More meaty buys than sells now, it seems. Earlier 3 x 125k's etc but admittedly a couple of 100k sells. May have bottomed for now, who knows!?!
The MM love to drop it quite some then get 'twitchy' & can't decide whether to drop it further or reverse it; all on relatively small volume.

Don’t seem like anyone has any interest in this stock anymore! All have lost faith in IC’s Simon Thompson too. Is this going back to .12s? Ffs.

As annoying as it is, I’ve just got to sit and wait for the scientific results to be released. I remind myself of the excellent track record Kromek scientists have, when I get worried watching the Kromek CEO and his floundering statements etc.

This companies success will all be about this SCIENTIFIC result we are waiting for. All other factors are just noise until they are released.

Commercialisation of the machines should be by the end of the year ST says, so not too far off hopefully. I was a bit disappointed last week that the very positive article & ‘strong buy’ recommendation in IC had only a mild effect on the share price. Could see more buying today hopefully as people read it over the weekend. I’m wondering if the CEO regarding his ‘coming days’ statement was referring to his team getting and going through the results in the coming days? Massively misleading to investors. Any results would need to be accredited by a third party laboratory anyway for them to be worth anything. Who’s going to believe some AIM company without third party accreditation? Not many people I suspect

Hi Dave, this is the Equity interview where Arnab says the prototype s will be ready for testing from March onwards...someone did state on LSE incorrectly that they had started before they had...there was another interview when Arnab confirmed the actual trials had started..early .Apr? I believe..BUT not at the begining of the year.

Then Paul Hill confirmed they would take some months...so things are about on track.

Arnabs 'in the coming days' when he meant weeks?
was just a genuine slip up, it happens.

From my post in Lse- 10th Feb

"RE: KMK a lot to look forward too 10 Feb 2021 14:31
This was the last interview with Equity on the 16th Jan and Arnab mentions 6-7 mins in that the New Bio Dection Unit will be ready for Piloting from March onwards....I think we'll hear about it when it starts...not long to wait now.."

They didn't even have the full design team in place then as he says..just built it up to 20 strong think he's mentioned.

I'm late to this company so 100% am no expert. However, on the timeline for results, I would say its vital that they have confidence in the data. Checked, cross checked and double checked, incorporated into test and trace applications etc.....this will take time and is probably the most important aspect of the entire device, user confidence. I wouldn't be alarmed by any perceived delay...just my thoughts.
