03/2/2021 16:32 | CT, Given there is no likelihood of significant JET2 holidays in 2021, the share price seems completely out of step with reality. It was only £16+ when I sold right at the beginning of the pandemic and since then there has been a heavily discounted placing. I love the way JET2 is run but a share price above £10 seems ludicrous. | shanklin
03/2/2021 16:26 | I note 2022 flights are out and being heavily pushed. Suppose it helps cash flow. No news from the company as to a possible start up again. As we stand its the end of March...... but changes will be made by Boris and co. My charting pals are looking at this for a possible double/triple top. tiger | castleford tiger
03/2/2021 09:23 | Snorkelparker, Interesting numbers. What have you built in for ticket price inflation? | legg96
03/2/2021 08:40 | Have gone long but v small position by my own standard because of the lack of volumes. | tongosti
03/2/2021 08:34 | Where is your megaphone genius | tongosti
03/2/2021 08:17 | Up 52 p at the off Well on the way to a new high?? Tiger | castleford tiger
02/2/2021 10:57 | Mr Market has been up to smth from those distant 200p+ lows gents hasn't he?Wow. Just wow - not that I am surprised though. Not in the slightest. | tongosti
02/2/2021 10:55 | a 1400 just gone through. unbelievable. Again I would be raising brass tiger | castleford tiger
02/2/2021 09:59 | My second biggest holding prior to Covid. Am amazed at the current share price given its a business with close to zero revenue, until at best late 2021, a serious possibility. | shanklin
02/2/2021 09:29 | 1400 within sight. Not a lot of volume though, otherwise would have initiated a position. | tongosti
02/2/2021 08:30 | Snorkel I can’t see a profit next year starts April. For now break even would be a result. I have loss 50 p a share. Countries may open but will he let us travel? I can’t see it We get good news and ever time we do they find a negative slant. Still baffles me | castleford tiger
01/2/2021 12:35 | Labours motion to close our borders requiring all to go into quarantine surely shows that the start of international travel this summer just got more unlikely. Together with the first South African strain breakouts in the community in the UK now happening, not so likely others would let us in. | our haven
01/2/2021 09:16 | CT, Been mulling this over last few days was going see what you thought of some predictions EPS 21/22 50 - 60 p EPS 22/23 80 - 100p similar to 2018/19 season EPS 23/24 120 - 180p These are just that a finger in the air Say the multiple has changed from average 8 to say 12-14 lets take mid range 13 So kinda fair value 21/22 8 quid 22/23 12 quid 23/24 20 quid So what's it worth now market say 13 plus i'm thinking 10 to 11.5 quid Dilemma is I'm sure its 2 quid EPS plus from 23/24 onwards with Dividends | snorkelparker
01/2/2021 09:06 | Will there be a summer holiday season? Will countries allow us in? Will we allow people back without the need to quarantine. I am thinking very little will happen till September and then a steady build to what maybe a busy winter season for the canaries? Views | castleford tiger
28/1/2021 19:58 | TUI also up significantly. News of a support package would make sense. | donald t
28/1/2021 16:40 | Snorkel Who knows pal. Anything can happen. I think a support package has been discussed in the industry which is helping support the price. Some hefty valuations out in the market another favourite of mine.......FEVERTREE trades on 10x sales and a p/e well into the 50`s. Any market pull back they will get hammered. Coming off the support of the 500 and 990 ma it looks strong Good luck the brave tiger | castleford tiger
28/1/2021 16:11 | Unlikely. Huge support came under 1200. Ever more convinced re my £17-£20 call. Judging by volumes traded, the buyer today has nothing to do with aunt Betty but it's rather big money instead. | tongosti
28/1/2021 16:00 | wonder if 12.5 will be visited again for a while ? | snorkelparker
28/1/2021 15:22 | JET2 +4% on the day and refusing to go down. True champ of a stock. Those who are in the business to force (go figure how "clever" that is) Mr Market agree with them (they might as well fight the wind to change the weather) are getting slapped in the face again (for a change). Airliners - as a sector - show the greatest relative strength vis-à-vis the broader markets over the last 3 months. | tongosti
28/1/2021 14:38 | After the Spanish flu (killing in excess of 50 million and infecting an estimated 500 million) and the first world war in 1918 there was an explosion of prosperity and innovation in the 1920's. Although I need to mention that we subsequently had the crash of 1929. We have climate problems experienced Brexit and covid so I believe that something similar could occur over the next few years once the vaccination programmes begin to bear fruit. A lot of under capitalised dead wood has been cleared away creating a stronger platform to grow and prosper. Suet - somewhat bullish! | suetballs
28/1/2021 13:20 | Up with a vengeance we're going. Trust the market gents - he's far far more clever than Joe Public. | tongosti
28/1/2021 09:59 | Someone is making a killing keeping these grounded aircraft airworty! | malvernwaters
28/1/2021 08:18 | Jones I have a few friends who are drivers and not heard that. My Ryan driver has 1 flight in jan to March period. Tbh from a company view keep it closed until you get the green light. Costs more to have the stop start operation of 2020. I didn’t see the board at the AGM ( cancelled ) and socially it’s not been possible to see anyone so other than expecting them to be desperate to start it’s difficult to gauge. I hear a small surge of bookings as the vaccine started but now nothing. The complication is that countries will all have different rules. Spain said no till September . Need to see what support is offered. Tiger | castleford tiger
28/1/2021 08:08 | Spoke to a captain at Jet2. He has been told he won't be flying this summer. He said the TV campaigns to encourage people to book are all about building confidence and revenue in the hope some holidays can happen, but if not then customers can be retained for future travel when Europe opens up. Not currently a holder. | njones01
27/1/2021 22:34 | Worth noting that Jet2 really got going from the aftermath of 9/11 when surplus aircraft available cheap, experienced crew willing to accept lower wages and incumbents weighed down with debt.. history may well repeat itself.I have alot of time for jet2, nimble, lean and hungry business but its hobsons choice right now. Spend massively and prepare for holidays that probably wont happen, or cut back further to preserve cash and miss out on the pent up demand.I hear bookings are through the roof but its anyones guess what will happen. Early bailouts excepted, the UK government doesn't give a toss about this sector. | tp6 |
