A new high yesterday in the new era and a price =to £18.00 in the old DTG shares.

The shares then were massively overvalued and those intelligent investors could see that expectation was getting ahead of itself.

I forecast a share price of £20.00 and then up to £25 based on earnings of 500m on sales of £5b

Both targets would be achieved this year Summer 21 had Covid not struck.

The forward visibility remains hard to forecast but more good news today re the other Oxford vaccine.
Its pretty certain year com April 2022 should see a more normal trade pattern.

Good luck to those who remain in.

As expected on this board from those distant 600p+ days, here's the latest validation (can't post the link as an FT subscription item) from M O'Leary on the business opportunity. "...I have never in my 30 years in the industry seen such a clean-out," Mr O'Leary told the Financial Times in an interview. "The real seismic change from Covid will be the growth opportunities across Europe. They are much greater than after the financial crisis or 9/11.

It's Xmas isn't it - one can tell from the share price these days! 1700+ is an extremely high probability event now. This time around there is absolutely no euphoria at all about airliners and have to say that at the slightest signal of better-then-expected post c19 and Brexit world even £20 may be up for grabs in the new year. One day at the time. Merry Christmas

Nice one and good luck. On us breaking 1500, then 1700+ should be upon us in very short order. What you describe + this being the most hated and misunderstood rally among former JET2 believers, makes for a good tailwind for the next share price destination (North).

Given that a Brexit deal is "about to happen" I have purchased a relatively small holding of long term shares.
I am also encouraged by the vaccines (Oxford/Astrazeneca approval also looks imminent) which I believe will make a material difference over the next few months.
Suet - shame I couldn't get in cheaper/fomo.

I still am counting on that final sharp spike North fellas. Not there yet for me to get in but it looks highly probable that the market will have one final surprise up before things may want to settle for a bit. Merry Christmas all.

True that - reward to risk profile is far less enticing than it was at, say 800.

After todays price action 10 quid seems a long way off..but if there is any suggestion that summer 21 could be affected then that will be a different story..and then I'm not sure I want to dive back in then ..

Well my £10 tp appears to be pie in the sky.
The vaccine potential is certainly outweighing all other short term concerns.
And the pent up demand for holidays must be enormous.
Still I can wait.

Thank goodness I won't be hearing any more nonsense from the fella. The naïveté parading as knowledge from some is mind boggling. A share could be expensive selling for X price at time A and cheap selling at X+Y at time B. Different circumstances at points A and B hold the key. If your average institution would understand he above they would then really deserve being called an asset manager. But most of them are asset gatherers instead getting fat on selling dreams for cash to Avg Joe. Hence the rise of passive innit. Apologies the rest - not going to refer to this fella any longer.

Only to warn of impending disaster - prior to C19 striking due to sky high market expectations on DTG (at the time - with the share price then being at £19

What a laugh.

If it was sky high at £19.00 what is it now!! There are 20% more shares in issue and we sold FW.
So 15.75 now is equal to what you describe as sky high valuation.
However you think £17.00 is fair and possible.
The only thing now is the business is shrinking this year by at least 20% rather than forecast growth of 30%.

I have yet to see any institutions follow your path in gambling.

anyway Filter back on.

Post 822: good you admit you not reading properly. Goes without saying but they should have taught you at school that you should refrain from passing judgement unless you read an opposing view properly. Wish you better luck in the next decade chap when throwing your darts

Luckily we live in the UK and I can pass my judgement as a comment in this free world.

When the price was too low you argued strongly that I was wrong. Eventually you changed your position.
Now you argue the price may go to £17 and of course it might.

However its not an investment for me based on numbers.

We currently have no forward visibility at all with a new strain ( so they say) and bans popping up all over Europe.

JET2 have no control over the situation and as such that makes me nervous.
