Only to warn of impending disaster - prior to C19 striking due to sky high market expectations on DTG (at the time - with the share price then being at £19

What a laugh.

If it was sky high at £19.00 what is it now!! There are 20% more shares in issue and we sold FW.
So 15.75 now is equal to what you describe as sky high valuation.
However you think £17.00 is fair and possible.
The only thing now is the business is shrinking this year by at least 20% rather than forecast growth of 30%.

I have yet to see any institutions follow your path in gambling.

anyway Filter back on.

Post 822: good you admit you not reading properly. Goes without saying but they should have taught you at school that you should refrain from passing judgement unless you read an opposing view properly. Wish you better luck in the next decade chap when throwing your darts

Luckily we live in the UK and I can pass my judgement as a comment in this free world.

When the price was too low you argued strongly that I was wrong. Eventually you changed your position.
Now you argue the price may go to £17 and of course it might.

However its not an investment for me based on numbers.

We currently have no forward visibility at all with a new strain ( so they say) and bans popping up all over Europe.

JET2 have no control over the situation and as such that makes me nervous.

According to market action it doesn't seem to be the case. A massive red day in the wider markets but JET2 has had a very impressive day reversal in huge volumes. One day at a time of course but the current reading looks still positive on JET2. Good time indeed to be out and wait for the fog to clear a bit but so far the vote of the market is a thumbs up.

@Fest

Have a look a these:

Basically a big fat, arrogant, aggressive, over opinionated bloke (as you are) sat in his room 'stuffing his face' with high fat, calorific filth (which we all know you relish) and making money from it.

Perfect for you Fest, PERFECT .. come on show this fat fraud how it's done.

It all depends on Brexit deal and Covid 19. If they are not sorted quickly, Jet2 is likely to fall a lot.

It is indeed remarkable. The market does not seem to care no matter what. I am happy to be out as I need further confirmation but today's action seems to indicate that the path of least resistance in the new year is still up not down.

I stopped reading long ago when it was clear you are operating a style that’s not for me.
I don’t gamble on daily movements I invest .
Clearly sometimes I get it wrong.
However as long as my style suits I don’t care.
My opinion remains the same the shares are too high.
Expect another cash call this year.

Good luck and merry Christmas everyone

Interesting to see J2 is flying to The Canaries via The Ocean thus avoiding French and Spanish ATC fees, but adding 30 minutes of extra fuel burn. Unlike TUI and RYR.

Agreed gents - the latest is not good news at all. Ps. tiger - not sure you have ever read any of my posts correctly. There is a reason why my last long trade was covered on the day we failed to push above £15. I am open to all eventualities and as of now am happy to be out as I have not a lot of shortish term visibility. Me staying out is as clear as it can get ...

I have just used the Omni queue vaccine calculator and aged 66 with no underlying health coditions my estimated earliest vaccine date will be 27/02/21 - this assumes a vaccination rate of 1m per week.
Bring it on.

I'm expecting that Spain, (including Las Canarias) will quickly stop all U.K. flights incoming. The new covid variant is making many EU countries make that urgent decision.I'd short this tomorrow, If I had the nerve.

We are currently looking at the possibility that summer 2021 might not happen.

Does anyone think the market has factored that in?

At a valuation close to an all time high there is a possible big slide but then again I never thought it would get so high so fast.
Its a totally fake valuation on any metric but as tong keeps telling us value has nothing to do with it.

16 flights today mainly to the Canaries. No idea about who can or will be flying or load factors.

yep 10 quid a possibility I think ...I still have 25 % of my position which I may just drop tomorrow ..but certainly nice to have cashed out from 13.50 to 15 quid on the rest ..what a mess..but I'm still confident jet2 will be left standing ..Tui not going to plug many holes with a rights issue ..I think this is going to react very differently from the price action after the 2nd Nov lock down..its confirmed the UK gov is nothing but headless...it can't go on economically there are much worse consequences on the line than trying to " control the virus "

Yes snorkel - a horrible development with the new variant and tier 4 but we do have the vaccine which imo will temper things.
We could also have a no deal too - another potential big spanner!
Like you I recently sold out of Jet2 awaiting a lower price and now we are going to get it.
£10 is a nice round figure,
