07/3/2024 19:54 | Meanwhile, back on planet earth. | lord loads of lolly
07/3/2024 17:09 | If IQE had a contract win with Nvidia all bets would be off, and we would likely sail past even your exit point Sweenoid. | crosswires
07/3/2024 17:04 | I think 26.5 is actually the key pivotal resistance point Don’t think it would ‘resist’ a contract win with Nvidia though 😂🤔 S | sweenoid
07/3/2024 16:39 | That will require some IQE specific contract revenue news. | longtallsally
07/3/2024 16:35 | But once it passes that it's going to rocket up! | amishp67
07/3/2024 16:32 | 25p is really proving a tough resistance level. | longtallsally
07/3/2024 13:48 | Hope all the ‘stuff’ we are getting from IQE is not just hype and waffle , they really are making a big deal of it’s potential to raise big revenues, I bet big timeAmerico is right but understand the sceptics Latest instalment from IQE As our industry enables AI to scale and realize its full potential, generative AI is also now being used in the design of advanced semiconductors. Innovations in compound semiconductor manufacturing are constant and fast-moving, and while we have seen a great deal of innovations in recent years, the pace may be about to pick up even more. While generative AI is being used in some of the new designs, this quickening pace will be largely by GaN, which may ultimately displace silicon carbide (SiC). IQE has been a leader in GaN for decades, and continues to lead the way as GaN becomes a key component to the future of AI. S | sweenoid
07/3/2024 10:57 | Yes guildedge - you're quite right. A higher margin would lower the revenue required to break even. Doh. | lord loads of lolly
07/3/2024 10:54 | Just tried a dummy sale and was offered 24.059p per share | 666james
06/3/2024 19:44 | No real shock so back at 24p now funds are done. Apple iPhone sales are tanking in China first 6 weeks of 2024. Newport sale went through for American firm. Is this good news for IQE? Have to see what AI brings to IQE. One positive on 30% margins on new contracts is it may help lower point where IQE break even. We need to actually see them materialise first. | guildedge
06/3/2024 16:16 | We’ve been here before, think we need to clear 25/26p | longtallsally
06/3/2024 16:03 | Not an expert in technical analysis but after that inverse head & shoulders pattern have been waiting for the bulls to take charge. Could we finally have that break out going north. | picobird
06/3/2024 11:00 | Apple will follow Samsung incorporating AI into their top tier phone this year. Perhaps this will start the extra revenue for FY24 into 25. | crosswires
06/3/2024 07:29 | Just for info for those interested As I posted yesterday, our CEO is speaking next week about the opportunity for IQE presented by AI With that in mind the following link is absolutely fascinating even better that it’s coming from our biggest wireless customer, comments re Wi-Fi 6 and 7 are very positive as is the ‘tone’ but what’s most interesting is the ultra complex change that is going to revolutionise the smartphone to enable it to use AI efficiently . Bottom line ( this is from me) they WILL 100% necessitate compound semiconductor materials | sweenoid
05/3/2024 11:31 | alotto - it's all available in the video below, assuming you've 3+ hours to spare/waste* * depending on your view cmd.iqep.com/ | lord loads of lolly
05/3/2024 10:37 | Where did Americo come from with that 3x revenue figure? Did he back it up? | alotto
05/3/2024 09:58 | Obviously Americo believes it with his personal share purchase and ballsy 2027 revenue and margin predictions. I don’t buy 3x revenues but I do think they grow significantly from 2022 what remains to be seen is can they make realistic and significant profits from increasing margins. Nobody can be sure on that but time will tell. I certainly hope so! | crosswires
05/3/2024 09:53 | CROSSWIRES if your piece (4032) is true then IQE will fly and with all this rush into the AI, which sees to be energy greedy, then there's implicit evidence this will happen in a year or two. -------- "The typical etc | colsmith
05/3/2024 07:50 | Interesting and as a refresher for people this is the definition of 3rd Gen SC and why Americo has placed its bets on GaN. “The typical third generation semiconductor materials of silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) have the advantages of high power, high operating temperature, high breakdown voltage, high current density, and high frequency characteristics, which allow significant reduction of chip area and simplification of peripheral circuit design to achieve the goals of reducing modules, system peripheral devices, and the volume of cooling system.” | crosswires
05/3/2024 07:44 | Just for info- our CEO speaking engagement next week One of the biggest challenges with #AI is supporting its growth while also making it more sustainable and mitigating its surging power demands. The solution may be in third-generation semiconductors. IQE CEO Americo Lemos is speaking at the Global Semiconductor Alliance International Semiconductor Conference on March 13th in London. He’ll share insights on how to enable AI in a #netzero world and how third-generation semiconductors are needed to deliver the promise of AI and solutions to overcome bottlenecks across the ecosystem. Here is link to program, you may notice that one of our new non-exec directors Maria Marced opens the conference with ‘a recipe for success’ let’s hope she can ‘cook’ good things with her connections for IQE ( 😁couldn&rsqu | sweenoid
04/3/2024 21:35 | crosswires - I’ve just filtered Guildedge/Gotrader, as his posts hold no interest whatsoever for me. Had they shed any light on likely future share price direction, fair enough. But as far as I’m concerned they never have. I’m amazed, frankly, that anyone finds them even remotely useful/interesting/r | lord loads of lolly
04/3/2024 19:39 | Guildedge the Richard Griffiths and Spreadex trades are probably linked in some way. When RG increased his stake a couple of years ago there were also some very large share transactions and, like today, he and Spreadex both issued RNS's relating to changes in holding on the same day. Seems likely to be more than coincidence. | smorales
04/3/2024 18:33 | I filtered LLOL on here and LSE about 3-4 weeks back. There are about 21m in late trades. Seems 8% of the stock has been traded in 3 or so days. | guildedge
04/3/2024 18:09 | Thanks for that Guildedge, always interesting when large chunks of shares are moved around. The strategies of large investors can be useful. We may not know just yet where they all are, but we will and it’s factual unlike some posts. Thank you. | theyak
04/3/2024 17:49 | Lords I don’t see why Guild shouldn’t post about significant holding changes, it’s more interesting than some posts here, and such changes do have relevance. If you don’t want to read them, perhaps filter Guild, but I am personally interested to read them. | crosswires |
