More rhetoric from IQE which needs backing up in the OUTLOOK STATEMENT segment of the upcoming earnings report. They can do this by bigging up GAN but more simply by restating the Capital Markets Day targets on revenues and margins.

As silicon reaches its physical limits, GaN technology emerges as the beacon for the future of power electronics. At IQE, our deep dive into GaN over the last 40 years positions us at the forefront of this shift, pioneering advancements that promise more efficient, powerful, and sustainable devices. GaN isn't just an alternative; it's the key to unlocking a new era of devices that are more efficient, powerful, and ready to meet the demands of tomorrow.

I am beginning to sound like an old fashioned LP stuck in a rut 😂

alotto - Sadly, I think you'll find lemons can't talk.

Seriously though, not sure if main presentations will be filmed, but you can view the schedule here:

Where can we find a link to the conference and to what is discussed? I would love to know what Lemons will say actually

Just picked up a few more at 22.3 pence. Hopefully Mr Lemos will say something encouraging at the semi-conductor conference tomorrow.

We’re bouncing in range until they offer market positive news. Nothing else will shift us past 26p imo

This share is so frustrating, can’t seem to take 25p out, never mind 26.5 ;)

alotto - if you re-read my post, you'll see I actually wrote results for FY 2023 WOULD be pretty dire. They've already told us as much, so it's hardly a great revelation.

But they may still choose to publish when the financial press is about to pack up for Easter, to minimise coverage of yet another disappointing year.

Lord, on the basis of what do you say they are not dire?
For me results may be dire as there were not many news on contract wins. But they may have kept it confidential till present date. It would be nice to have someone working in IQE on this board and give us an insight.

Could still be the last week of March. Good Friday isn't until 29th.

The figures for 2023 won't be great, so they may well want to bury them just before Easter when they won't get as much press coverage. Mind, everyone already knows they're going to be dire, so it wouldn't really achieve that much.

It won't be end of March as that is Easter. So I expect results end of May.

The outlook/ update whatever you want to call it in the upcoming results will be the only bit worth reading - 2023 an annus horribilis is done and dusted, I doubt I will pay any attention to the numbers at all. 😉
IQE need to get results out in March without any undue delay and they need to back up all their recent rhetoric too with a positive outlook and a public re confirmation of their Capital Market Day ‘targets’;

Maybe they might do an update in the results. That would be more likely. Assuming these are coming in March. That was the only update in March 2022. There are no dates for year end results on their website yet.

There was a trading update during march 22 as well.

It's very unusual to do a March TU when we had one in January. It's been 6-7 weeks.

2023 was an exception due to the huge downturn in revenue. 2020 there was one but that was only because the previous TU was back in November. 4-5 month gap is the norm.

Unless there is a major uptick in performance I would expect a TU closer to AGM or July if closing statement. Maybe in IQE case best to clear all bad news in the 2023 results and build from there? Pends when we expect GAN and other production to come online and produce revenue.

I expect them to have an uptick in H2. Maybe some positive news on orders at some point. A firm doing well will often say very little. As Sweenoid suggested lots of conversations going on but these are maybe not at point where market can be updated. The fact the CEO recently bought shares suggested nothing major was imminent.

Btw last year the share price shattering March TU was yesterday or Thursday 8th ‘23, so perhaps the lack of a TU so far this corresponding week signals better things ahead, or at least no bad things!

There are 2 types of trading. Either driven by news or by volume. Volume could be driven by cfd or leverage trades for example via IG. Looking on a chart analysis I presume many traders leveraging would have orders and would go long at this point pushing the price up. I've been In the corporate game al ong time so I like to think I know what I'm talking about..don't really need a crystal ball. But thanks for the advice!

Longtallsally - bit rich from you. You’ve hardly been positivity personified over the years when it comes to IQE.

Oh wait, you’ve filtered me, so you’ll never see this.

Or WILL you?

Anyhow, you honestly believe Nvidia & IQE are going to announce some form of collaboration, ever? No, thought not.

Meanwhile back on planet earth - again.

Why do you bother posting Lords, it’s beyond me and seemingly many have you filtered which is why they no longer engage with you. If I go back in your timeline to see the last time you posted anything of relevance about IQE, I cannot find anything whatsoever, most odd! Every post is either negative or moaning at someone else who apparently posts things you take issue with even though they are of more interesting than anything you might ever say! Filtered
