You’re welcome..this discussion board needs to chill ..nobody here (including me) knows what the short term holds for the shares ..what we do know is that IQE is fishing in some very well stocked waters with state of the art kit..if they don’t deliver for shareholders it’ll be a reverse miracle the like of which I’ve never seen.

Hoverflyman - as at August last year Drew Nelson owned around 28.5M shares as well as a further 7.5M unexercised share options which mature in Jan 2019.

Just how much more incentivised would you like him to be? ;-)

He knows what he's doing. All will be well for those who keep their nerve :-)

Our BOD’s remuneration should consist in part of warrants, unredeemable for say 5 years. Our CEO who receives a generous salary might be much more concerned about the share price if he had a significant holding. Surely an item for the next AGM Agenda?

James, so 98.7% think up is the way to go? I do and have put a buy order in for 96p but hope to accumulate anyway. There’s no stopping the revolution.

11.31% says that this will go down rather than up in the medium term. That is a big bet to argue against....


Is IQE's profit from wireless under threat for some reason? Given the general growth in the other areas that it has an interest in it is difficult to think what else could provide legitimate grounds for shorting the share.

@Gingerrcat1- lot of us did pick up on this a while back. Any half a decent Broker would have told the company what is happening and what they can do to fight back and what are the consequences of letting it get out of hand. Unfortunately it hasn’t happened in our case and based on the evidence so far, shorters have managed to put off any new investors.

Not many algo/AT trades in today's 1st hr and seemingly very limited stock availability at these prices. Where will the cover stock come from?
How long to the interims? By then there will be good FY visibility and for forward 1H19 orders.

I don’t think the shorts will run anywhwre until after the end of August results and the following announcements of new Apple & Android product in Sept. Until then (unless we get some killer news) it’s probably range bound between high 90s and £1.10.
