milly 17, I use Halifax, and they are rubbish.
I was told on the phone to sign out and sign in again, to be able to get an online quote. Often you have to keep trying.
On the plus side, hopefully they are too big to fail.

Retail probably buy through the U S market but on an institutional level they would presumably use the U K market ?
No harm consolidating on a Friday & the MM’s walk the share price to get volume anyway.

Five consecutive up days. We have to expect to give a bit back to the stock market Gods.

Watch out for US buying between 1.30 and 2.30pm. It has been evident over the last few days.

Thanks CotswoldSparky. So there's not that many significant institutional holdings, given that Hargreaves, Interactive and Barclays are no doubt aggregated individual accounts? Herald recently issued their half year report - IQE was 4th largest holding at 1.5% of funds under management. Herald was quite a savvy small cap tech investor (under Katie Potts?) but looks to have flat-lined recently.

You're right there BnB - for every buyer, there has to be a seller. And the more shorts, the tighter the squeeze. Though I prefer my pants baggy.

EDIT: Anyone else spotted the big block buy trades in recent days. Possibly a short taking a long hedge, but I wonder if we have an II taking a position, not seen this for months. Good stuff.

Regarding the 'beef' with shorts, it's like saying I like to play football but I have a 'beef' about the offside rule. It is part of the game, if you do not like it, simply get out.

Wasted emotions, they are allowed to short sell so there is zero point in being constantly so obsessed with them. As mentioned before, they did not stop the share price going up from 20p to £1.80 last year and won’t stop the inevitable rise that’s coming.

Agree Rich - very limited downside now.

By the end of the month (Interims) there will be good visibility of 2H and a pretty good feel for 1H19. I'd expect a few sizeable new clients to close in the next 2-3 months, with DD and product testing taking 6-8 months max.

Short term risks to downside maybe 10-15p. Mid to long term upside well of course much more, I have no beef at all with shorts, both sides are out to make money, hopefully lots more of it :)

Short. has been the correct play for the last twelve months. IQE is on their RADAR and will remain so. It is a big bet either way i.e belief or not, high beta is here to stay I fear but for me the upside still appears worth the risk...

But those who play the downside will if clever have the whip hand short term... Long term maybe the thing to do is look away in my view but it will not be an easy ride for either...

Quite simply: IQE VCSEL epiwafers = A high quality, reliable ‘Endorsed̵7; product to enable secure access / payment efficiency, to enhance progressive global OEM’s mobile security goal objectives. If my face must be scanned to either enter or exit or make a payment, I will go to the highest quality manufacturer, to ensure security is guaranteed. Everyone should then feel more secure regarding access to their property. This is a massive issue in current society & IQE is perfectly placed to supply the answer.
