Arlington, you should really control your ire and your drinking, it's embarassing and lets the side down man, tut, tut.

Water is a valuable commodity for this company by the look of it and is a very good bankable product. The price of Iodine is about to move upwards I surmise and believe a change in direction is on the cards.

Rates will dated based on import into India date not commercial agreement/strike of price date. Difference at minimum 6 to 8 weeks.

Fresh,

They are not really internal transfers since Cosayach and Pantheon are separate companies. It is possible Cosayach may provide iodine at a discount to Pantheon (as their biggest customer) under some joint agreement, but I imagine the price must still be related to the world market/spot price in some manner and as such the trend is the important factor to note in my view.

Gad, that's all well and good. Now go through those items, and there are more, and tell us how much money we make from each. Don't be distracted by the 'we', just do it. If you can pmsl

If these are internal transfers between associated companies surely the price is not significant?

Hi Super, post 30140

Pantheon seem to be Cosayach's iodine distribution partner. With a claimed 60% of the market in India/China region. It appears from the information below that they also manufacture iodine derivatives for Cosayach using their manufacturing plants in N. America and India. This suggests to me that Pantheon's Indian manufacturing plant may be the destination for these regular 21.6 MT deliveries.
Their product list (below) suggests the range of iodine derivatives manufactured by Pantheon is more limited than that provided by Iofina Chemical and is confined to relatively simple inorganic salts.(edit: compounds, there not all salts).

---------------------------------------------

We, Pantheon are a partner of Cosayach, Chile. Cosayach is the world’s second largest producer and supplier of Iodine. Pantheon is the marketing and distribution partner of Cosayach for N. America & Asia Pacific. Cosayach produces and sells about 5000 Mt/year of Iodine. Pantheon is responsible for nearly 70- 80 % of the sales, i.e. about 3500 – 4000 Mt/year. We have a leadership position in the Chinese and Indian markets with 60 % market share. Pantheon is the world’s second largest Iodine distribution company. We have offices in India, Dubai-UAE, Nederland, Dallas-USA and Chile.
Pantheon also supports Cosayach and its customers in manufacturing and distribution of Iodine Derivatives in all markets of the world. We have our manufacturing locations in India and N. America. These are custom manufacturing locations. The products are supplied in our name and quality guarantee.
Salient points:

We can supply all kind of Iodine derivatives as mentioned below :

 Calcium Iodate Monohydrate
 Calcium Iodate Anhydrous
 Potassium Iodide (Crystals/Pellets)
 Potassium Iodide Stabilized (Feed Grade)
 Potassium Iodate
 Sodium Iodide
 Sodium Iodate
 Povidone Iodine (Powder/Gel/Solution)

It should do as the peso went to highs and has been receding now.

I'm trying to work out whether bromine would need iodine to replace it as quite a big supplier is having strike and cash issues.

Bromine, Chlorine, and iodine cross over in many products.

Gad

Good news the turn still seems to be in play.

Re the 21.6mt regular India imports.

27th Jan $28.43 per kg

3rd Feb $29.29

18th Feb $30.63

A 7.7% increase in the price

EDIT

I'm pretty sure this is Cosayach as RB were not exporting at the time this size of order was still in play during H2 2014.

I also note the cert code starts CO, I've not seen that before and from the date it seems it was shipped on 21st Jan, so the india data lags the market by a few weeks it seems.

It can't be attributed to exchange rates either as the rates of the peso v dollar and rupee v dollar are roughly the same as they were at the end of January.

engelo

That sounds like just a repeat of what he said when Shroder came on here going on about big short positions.

Of course shroder was blown out of the water as the deceptive fella used a chart for an IOF on the Aussie exchange ( Investa Office Fund (IOF.AU) as proved by
Testuser, and failed to reply when challenged.

That's the way it is on FF (financial facelessbook)
