It's been on my watch list for a while but I ignored any position interest as it went too high too quickly imo with probable growth some years off. I say that loosely as I haven't seriously looked.

I am tracking another that the market doesn't realise may well be connected to similar sectors. A sleeper with virtually no followers, so I'm hoping any related news won't make sense to the market.

O/T but relevant for folks interested in Lithium. I stumbled across it looking for something esle.

TOKYO -- Japanese trading house Marubeni has broadened its battery business, selling advanced electrode materials for use in lithium-ion batteries to battery manufacturers in South Korea and China.

The materials come from EnerG2, based in Seattle. Its electrode carbons can extend the life of lithium-ion batteries roughly 10 times. In addition, they offer unmatched material purity.


Such technological advances could really screw up lithium demand if battery life is extended 10 fold.

I take extend the life to mean lifetime rather than charge discharge time. I haven't looked deeply enough into it as yet.

If I'd known about Lucy I would have made the effort NOT. Oh the days of dealing with the Eastenders cast when not at work. I could tell a story or two there. I can assure you some weren't acting they were simply very suited to their characters for their roles.

This year has seen record output of Iodine (EERRRM NO INCORRECT) despite the firm downtrend in prices; the market prediction is for this to be maintained or increased next year (erm no the main market participant said bottom out Q4 14 or early 2015); prices are being driven down consistently; no large producers have gone out of business; the small producers that have been driven out of business (Eh, WHO HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS, COME ON SON SPILL THE BEANS) are actually driving down the overall cost of production (erM No costs are rising, RB 22 to 24 to now 26) as low cost producing mines are being sold (ARE THEY, WHO, WHERE WHEN)on by administrators at discount prices to pay off creditors while the high cost ones are being shutdown at no real cost (OK LETS IGNORE THE STATED COSTS IN SQM ACCOUNTS).

, I agree RB Energy is already essentially gone. The cost of IODINE production it makes is $23 so that'll get snapped up when the court finally winds them up,

(WHY SNAP THEM UP THEY AREN'T ANYWHERE NEAR THE OTHERS AND ACF MINERA WHO ARE STILL IN THE GAME DUMPED THAT MINE ON THEM. THEY RELY ON WATER AND THE DROUGHT CRISIS AREAS ARE GETTING A BIT CLOSE.

Around $26 forecast actually in the last update.

One thing is for sure, RB have got no fans.
