Gilesy911,

Divi not being paid this year. Would have been x-divi 27 Jul, pay date 5 Sep.

Next one due x-divi 7 Dec, pay day 10 Jan. Not expecting divi to be resumed until Jul/Aug 24 but never say never.

Thanks tuftymatt,

I've already been offered the other 4 but I negotiated a gap between each block of 2 so should be fully up and running by April of next year. Next 2 start in mid-Nov to cash in for Xmas then 2 more at start of tax year in April.

Morning NMRN,

Good luck with getting your other 4 runs and thanks again for all the insider knowledge you share on this thread 👍🏻

Good morning all,

Just got back from a meeting where I signed for my first two self-employed runs. I made no secret of the fact that I thought I was massively overpaid for my contract work for the last 3 years driving trucks for RM.

This is only van driving so the overheads are much reduced, replacement drivers are cheaper, and a whole lot easier to find, and the work is less demanding.

The expected profits are only slightly more than truck driving but my ultimate goal is to have 6 runs then sit back and manage rather that be hands on. I know I will have to work occasionally to cover short term absences but I also know the people I intend to take on and none of them could be described as the least bit workshy. Needless to say, they are NOT ex RM employees!

Looking forward to a happy and successful transition of RM into a sleek, modern and efficient unit where we all work together to ensure the future prosperity of the Company which will guarantee jobs for those who accept and embrace the changes while weeding out the skivers and shirkers who currently drag the Company down.

All IMHO,

Thanks NMRN for your thoughts.

Good to see RM is slowly being sorted and I hope you are right about a returning divi in a year or so.

Good luck all 👍🏻

tuftymatt,

Blackrock have been selling off their stake for months now. They still hold 4.1% or around 40m shares. They were the primary cause of the last slump from £2.50 ish to sub £2.20. If they were happy to sell at those prices I am sure they will sell again but it is a risky business trying to second guess the market.

The only thing you can guarantee is that the price will keep going up and down forever but I could easily see dividends returning next year and that would probably put a rocket under these babies.

The changes are transforming RM on a daily basis and I remain ultra-optimistic for the future.

All IMHO,

If I knew that, I wouldn't be sat here.

To where Casholaa in your opinion?

The concern I have is the 2 month 30% jump in a non divi payer may lead to profit taking which could knock the price somewhat in the short term.

Happy holding for now and being in profit when I combine my GIA, ISA and SIPP

Good luck all 👍🏻

Yes, my acetone and alcohol cleaning products didn't arrive a couple of weeks ago, but the postman somehow looks cleaner.

The new CEO does look the best Man for the Job as already does with GLS.
Let's hope the Unions let him get on with it as they have vicitimised all previous CEO's. The 3 year pay deal may give them a chance to get rid of some of the Lunatics in there!!
