Isis to be fair, Royal Mail often do similar. Sometimes parcels are scanned as delivered but not actually delivered (I'm guessing when they don't have the resources to deliver) but in every case I've seen, the parcel was always delivered the next day.

Letter volumes down 31% on pre-pandemic levels. Revenues from letters rose 11.8% thanks to rising stamp prices, but inflation and pay awards have pushed up costs.

The posties also appear not to have hit their 'national' target and did not get the £500 bonus but, did get £250.

Isis, the ball and chain that Royal Mail has to drag around is a wonderful illustration of the wilful incompetence/ignorance/stupidity of government. Add to that the Civil Service mentality of the management, and you have a money pit. The best thing would be to let it go bust and then have a new business emerge totally free of any government interference. Perhaps 'Ryan Mail' would be the way to go! :¬)

Not a bad set of figures at all really.

Let's hope we can slowly build up towards 280 again and then have a crack at 300 in 2024.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Blackhorse23,

"Buying target below 100p"
----------------------------------------------------------------
RM could cease trading tomorrow due to a plague descending and killing all employees at the same time as alien invaders, employed as mercenaries by Jeff Bezos, destroy the entire infrastructure of GLS using their death rays and the assets would still be worth more than a quid a share! Dream on my friend.

After the Xmas period we just had I reckon all the latest sellers will be crying into the last of their leftover turkey curry when the results are released on 8 Feb.

Bring it on!

All IMHO,

Looks like everyone was to blame along the line. Labour sanctioned it in the first place, has been going on nearly 25 years!!

Why are they not being held to account??

Fujitsu
Horizon was developed by Fujitsu, and the new computer accounting system was first used by the Post Office in 1999

The above is in reference to a great drama about a terrible miscarriage of justice but isn't connected to RMG / IDS remember.

The PO is government owned but many do connect it all with Royal Mail and even ParcelForce too. I get why but it's wrong.

Good luck all 👍🏻

In fact at the checkin they only ask for your Passport now, didn't even ask for the Visa I obtained which was also done online with an Eticket!
