You think there's any buy price that makes FDEV's 50% drop welcome?? I don't.

Saw your tweet Martin/hastings. "What more could an investor wish for". With the share price down from 1800 to 898, great to see you're keeping a sense of humour ! :)

endion, you clearly haven't bothered to listen to that talk from FDEV's CFO. You really ought to.

And don't miss the bit where a questioner asks him what happened to the previous CFO.

endion, Braben probably naively thought it might happen. That was year before last. It didn't happen.

And check the CFO's Mello talk. He avoids even mentioning Tencent or China through his whole presentation. Then a questioner hauls him up on whether there's anything happening there and he just evades the question.

From the original Tencent investment RNS:

"This is a strategic step for Frontier as it will accelerate and improve Frontier's access to the growing and already very significant Chinese market."

How else would this be achieved with Tencent unless it was through their gaming client?

Facilitate is probably a better word than publish. Mentioned in original FDEV/Tencent RNS, Mello presentation etc..

Made the mistake of unfiltering YankHanson. I should have learned by now.

Tencent aren’t publishing anything - they are putting it on their sales platform. They need permission from the new Chinese regulatory body. So far we’ve only heard about mobile games ref tencent.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist yank - tencent own many millions of fdevs stock.

So, about these "Tencent will publish FDEV games in China" reports. Is there any basis for this? Like, has Tencent or FDEV ever announced such a thing? Or it it just fake news concocted by rampers on this and other boards?

I've held a small number of EPO shares for quite a while (quite painful experience!) and the board there was almost totally dominated by one ranting poster for years. Visa and Mastercard are now bidding over EPO and share price is up, I'm finally in profit, but best of all no more ranting on the board!

FDEV is a far better company and this board reflects that. Lots of really informed posts from regular posters. I don't post that often but do read all your really helpful posts - many thanks.

FDEV will fly again but I don't know when. Maybe on Monday, their 25th anniversary, or maybe I will have to wait a year or so. But when the share price moves, it really moves and I don't want to be left behind. (All my opinion, Yank)

The share price for FDEV for me is something I try not to think about too much, but I can at least hope that it will turn to the good with the upcoming results and maybe I will be partly rewarded for my patience.

But this YankHanson bloke is way beyond my patience and so I will block him, he is like the Minerve character on the Burford board also blocked.

If they don't like a stock why keep bleating on about it and get a life

My little rant over :-)

Yup, FDEV has boosted sales by dumping the product at a huge discount. This £45 title that was supposed to have a "franchise" life of years was cut to £11 only six months in, far quicker than any previous FDEV product I can recall.

Did FDEV suddenly remember that this so-called FDEV franchise is actually a Universal franchise? Has FDEV said how long it will be before their licence expires and they have to stop selling the game?

Some good news though. The opencritic.com critic numbers have risen slightly. Now "38% of critics recommend" the game.

In response to me estimating 2m sales for JWE in the whole year.

YankHanson, 23rd November '18 : "How do you get 2m? After the initial 1m JWE sold about 0.1m in all of the last four months. That might go 1.2m by end of year if we're lucky."

FDEV, trading update, 15th January '19 : "Jurassic World Evolution" ... "has now crossed the 2 million base game unit threshold".

Sorry, YankHanson, I under estimated. lol

They are NOT overdue even details of the fourth game. Yet another inaccuracy of yours Yank. Latest from the company was EITHER late 2018 or early 2019. Considering we are still in January, that doesnt count as "overdue".

simonshare, try properly reading what I wrote. What I said was overdue is details on the next game not the release of the next game. As for your "it’s not in 18 months" trading update says release could be as late as 31 May 2020. That's nearly 18 months.
