25/1/2019 08:55 | Totally agree Nimbo. Another good example is KWS who supply services to the gaming industry - still 50% off its top. FDEV released a very, very good trading statement - it will find its right value in time but investors will need to be patient in these markets or cash out.Overall UK equities look great value relative to a lot of other markets, my hope would be that any clear direction on BREXIT is actually positive for U.K. Stocks. That plus any hint of a trade deal between the US and China and world markets will rally massively - that above all else is the risk getting priced in on the basis that it's negatively impacting growth in both economies and therefore rest of world. | anthony16731
25/1/2019 07:58 | Dave I get it Fdev released sales of jwe above full year expectations 4.5 months early. They’ve got loads of money, a world class dev team and can clearly publish. China is roughly fdevs 3rd largest market depending on which game you are talking about. Call Alex bevis if you can yank although I doubt he’s given you his number. Sentiment towards the entire video games sector is down - ttwo, paradox, capcom, ea, atvi etc are all down 30-50 percent. You can’t fight uphill against that but can hope for a change in sentiment. | nimbo1
25/1/2019 00:37 | Dave, FDEV needed to release some good news and they didn't. Good news like details of their next game which are now what six months overdue? Hell, just saying they'd release anything this year would have been good but no, their not promising anything until 18 months from now. That doesn't look good and we should be grateful the share price didn't drop more. | yankhanson
25/1/2019 00:08 | nimboJust stating a fact, this has fallen from 1880 to 854, and after issuing decent news does jack.Frustrated with myself as much as anything and having a good old moan. | discodave4
24/1/2019 23:59 | Where did Tencent or FDEV ever say Tencent was planning to publish any of FDEVs games? I'd be really surprised if they did. None of FDEVs games are the kind that sell well in China. | yankhanson
24/1/2019 20:57 | Don't be a rabbit DD. Either cut or buy more : ) | nimbo1
24/1/2019 19:39 | Don’t worry...huge revenue, dlc, annual game release and they don’t do bad games.. And remember what Jurassic producer said about the new game yet to be released ... | simonshare
24/1/2019 16:36 | This is a pile of poo!......losing patience. | discodave4
24/1/2019 13:16 | I read somewhere that the reason Tencent wasn't getting approvals so far is because that approvals were being processed for smaller developers first. No idea whether that is true or not. I think we just have to be patient for FDEV's games. | mark4231
22/1/2019 18:28 | Percentage increase in profit will make an even better headline I expect. :-) | mark4231
22/1/2019 17:51 | I make it about 330%! | nimbo1
22/1/2019 17:20 | Chart curving up. Company due to report a 200%+ increase in revenues for the period. It will make a nice headline:-) | allstar4eva
22/1/2019 16:41 | The extremely light volume on a stock market down day suggests selling could almost be exhausted heading into a period of news flow. Fingers crossed for new investors and those who have held. | nimbo1
22/1/2019 16:21 | I think that is a valid point. I was lucky enough to get in sub 280 first time around, then bought and sold at various prices over the years. Not lucky enough to sell at 18! Sold some around £15 and currently at average of £10.38. I have great faith in the company and in fact I've started playing E:D again after 6 months off. It plays great! and a fantastic gaming community as well GLA | jfbonner
21/1/2019 23:28 | The JWE fame brought in a lot of retail investors who were only in because of the famous lisence. They likely knew nothing about the company and wouldnt have had sticky fingers. So quick up, quick down. Hopefully this time the rise will be supported by investments into the company itself, based on company fundamentals. If so, then it will create a much stronger support base for the future. | endion
21/1/2019 21:29 | Thanks all. I'm also thinking have I missed something but your comments are reassuring, hopefully results on Feb will provide the impetus for a nice rise. | discodave4
21/1/2019 19:44 | I agree...think it’s the P/E not taking into account 80 million Rev in 6/12 in this FY. When the P/E officially drops in Feb, and investors actually look in, see the firm base and large growth potential...things will move quick Not everything will be Jurassic revenue but, doubling to a game every year with the long term revenue source of each game (multiple DLC add ons) is a compound dream.... | simonshare
21/1/2019 09:58 | Also the continued uncertain backdrop. AIM as an index has barely moved during the equity rally that's taken place since Christmas.Uk equities look good value vs other markets but BRExIT needs clearing up.FDEV is just part of the mix in that sense while people prefer to hold cash. | anthony16731
21/1/2019 09:55 | I was expecting the share price to fly on last week's trading update too. It hasn't but all the maths I do with that figure of £64m revenue for the first half shows me it's a complete no brainer to hold the shares here even in the worst case scenarios I can come up with. I'm putting it down to the majority of the market not understanding FDEV enough to see the same and that with time the share price will come good (official half year results with profit figures perhaps?). Either that or I've missed something fundamental! | mark4231
21/1/2019 09:44 | I personally think a lot of it is down to the fact all systems show a pe of something like 98 - in this market its unacceptable, despite the reality of it being somewhere between 7-10. That combined with the fact we still don't know about this years next game or the elite dangerous dlc (as far as market is concerned). 25th anniversary this week which may bring something and then results feb 6th where we get solid info on costs and therefore market can start thinking about roe etc. they spent 10 mil on jwe. The ROE on that will be c.600% for this year on that capital allocation - not bad : ). Terry smith says that's the most important figure in creating long term shareholder value - now FDEV need to use the capital generated and do it again and again. Im not making excuses for the price action as clearly I'd rather it went back above £10 - but am as perplexed as you are so looking at logical reasons helps me make sense of it. Volume is v low on some of these down days. | nimbo1
21/1/2019 09:38 | Thought this would kick on after the update.......? | discodave4
20/1/2019 10:16 | See ya for now hazl and good luck. Just remember that this company doesnt have many shares in issue, as such the share price can move pretty rapidly once volume picks up! | endion
19/1/2019 15:23 | Following those very sensible posts I just want to say that I meant everything I said, when I took an initial position recently. The trouble is I soon realised that the market didn't look as if it was going to hold and I didn't want to lose my short-term profit. I think perhaps, some of you might have done the same in my position. As sogoesit says, some are traders but perhaps some people like myself, don't start out being in that mind-set,it's just that the market is very nervous at the moment. I wish holders well. I do intend to get back in at some point. | hazl |
