We might get a shock because the majority don't post anything on here but may actually attend.

Another strong day. Ended 2013 at 18p (after a 476% rise in 2013), and now almost trebled in first 6 months of 2014. Come a long way from that 2p low in Nov 2012.

Lol they'll need a bigger venue if you invite many more.

Reading that shares mag article I've just realised this is a 27 million market cap now, what a long way we've come, we were so under valued at a market cap of 1.5 million.

No idea, but we will hear the AGM statement next week so this might shed a little light on future prospects.

The reason for todays jump was the feature below in shares magazine:

Hopefully we can reach 50p before our AGM...

I would hope they announce the launch of the Givendale website within the AGM statement, it should only have taken a couple of weeks to setup.

This website hxxp://www.ambrosesausages.co.uk/ was done quickly enough on a hosted shopping cart costing just £25pm.

Perhaps we should approach Ken Morrison and do a deal on selling his Beef...

I noted that Digital Look has these on a P/E of over 24 based on a projected EPS of 1.80p y/e Jan 2015.

Whilst still reflecting good growth, isn't the 1.80 a little on the modest side?

Just to be clear the article in the newsletter was written by someone else although I did give my consent to it and it was held over from a previous month but clearly the editor had space this month. Nice positive mention all the same.

Our Leeds Market store is being shown this morning on the local regional news albeit in the background on a report highlighting the reduction in car parking facilities now affecting some of the traders within the market, but we seemed busy enough.

Also, I have just been reading a wonderful article profiling Crawshaws in this month's Share Soc Newsletter written by David Stredder so we might see more buying today.

Garbetklb....A few quick thoughts.

I have never been in a store but tried the sausages and steak courtesy your Mello visit and thought they were both very good but the sausages were not cheap unless buying on a multi deal and the margins there must be very impressive.

This excellent June weather in the south is hopefully being enjoyed in the north and there must be plenty of parties and BBQs going on with the World cup and other sport giving an easy excuse. I suspect sausage and meat packs will be in huge demand.

I will just mention that RR told me months ago that there is no dependence whatsoever on the cheap surplus meat deals that have been coming their way due to supermarkets not hitting their target sales. They get their regular supply at very good prices and clearly would not be able to depend on surplus every week as they have steady demand and it is just a bonus. They source meat from many suppliers and locations and actually prefer that we do not mention that too specifically in public here. Quality at a very low price will not be compromised. That is what the Crawshaw customer wants.

Personally I cannot wait for the chance to put in my weekly order online and I suspect that will be a real winner as there is currently very little to compete with their offering and certainly not delivered to your door anywhere in the country.

Hi David

The Doncaster store I mentioned to you, that I visited a few weeks ago, is not very far away either. There is multi-storey parking within about 2 minutes of the shop.

Best wishes, Martin

There are currently four of us coming up from the South East including Brian who attended last year. I will certainly be wanting to see everything that it is possible to see on the day and meet as many of the excellent managers and workforce as possible too.

According to the CRAW web-site, the Rotherham store is only 0.8 miles away so organising something should not be difficult.

Taken from their final results:
The Annual General Meeting will be held at Bradmarsh Business Park, Bow Bridge Close, Rotherham S60 1BY on 26 June 2014 at 12 noon.

It does disappoint me that they do not reflect this on their dedicated AGM page hxxp://www.crawshawbutchers.com/crawshaw-group/agm

I am hopeful of a shop visit & presentation, but would recommend you email/phone to confirm this with the company to avoid disappointment.

Does anyone know the arrangements for the AGM? And whether there is any prospect of a shop/distribution centre visit?
I'm trying to decide if I venture south from the Highlands.
