12/5/2014 09:06 | I will be passing through (or close to) CRAW land in the next few days, going up the M1 to Newcastle. Given the CRAW web-site does not seem to provide a way of viewing all the shop locations on one map, please could somebody advise which CRAW store would be easiest to visit, going to/from from any M1 junction(s). Thank you, Martin | ![]() shanklin

08/5/2014 16:12 | After reading todays statement from Morrison's I get the impression people must be running out of Morrison's to buy all their meat from Crawshaws, especially in the Bransholme shopping centre where we have a very attractive shop on the precinct. I guess the discounters like us are now very much in fashion so the share price will continue onwards & upwards... | ![]() playful
06/5/2014 08:29 | We enjoyed lovely weather across Yorkshire over the Bank Holiday weekend so you have to think the BBQ packs have been selling well. It might be worth introducing a special BBQ promotional page on the website similar to this: hxxp://www.asda.com/ | ![]() playful

03/5/2014 15:29 | One thing for sure...there will not be an RNS before Tuesday ! Anyway just to keep things up to date on forecasts for CRAW as I fully expect regular trading updates and upgraded forecasts throughout this year possibly starting as early as the Agm statement. The current WHI broker note issued on Monday has the following for the year to Jan 2015; Target price 40p (up from 32p) Revenues...£25.7m (23.6) Gross margin..43.8% (43.5%) PBT...£1.4m (£1.1m) EPS...1.8p (1.3p) DPS...0.6p (0.4p) At this stage it is difficult to know how much the like for likes can be positive for the whole year but for H1 they seem likely to continue the double digit growth as they are currently up 19% which is staggeringly good. I am going for 14% at this point for H1 which would be perfectly acceptable. There is the possibility of two more stores opening through the Summer including the new factory store at the distribution centre so I can see an additional £3m of sales from new stores being a relatively easy target for 2015 and with about £2.5m of like for like growth as a personal target I am hoping to touch £27m turnover at the top end and a safe £26.5m if all goes to current plan. That suggests revenue forecasts are about a million light but lets see how the year goes....The H1 figures will be a good indicator and remember the online sales planned to start in the final quarter could provide some very nice surprise upside that simply cannot be factored in at all at this stage. Personally I cannot see anything less than 2.6p eps this year and at top end could easily begin with a 3 but fully understand the desire to under promise and over deliver which worked beautifully with regular upgrades through 2014. I will leave you all to decide what the upgrades should be for PBT and EPS if turnover growth of 26-30% is actually seen as achievable and then what the final results will be this time next year ! Exciting times ahead for Crawshaw shareholders and well done to all associated with the company in achieving a super performance over the last year and so far in 2014. Richard Rose is a very steady captain of the ship and growth will be measured and non dilutive which is good news all round. Declaration: I added significantly last week and CRAW is now my third largest holding so please accept I am weighted towards being positive in my outlook but it worked very well for me in 2013. | ![]() davidosh

01/5/2014 10:40 | Early days into the planning but I will want to have Richard Rose and Crawshaws heavily involved as headline presentations and it is just one mile from their big store in Derby....800 investors checking that out through the weekend will be useful sales and marketing potential for company and product. So keep 7th to 9th November free as there will be one heck of an event to attend. | ![]() davidosh

28/4/2014 17:18 | Great results! We should see some nice broker upgrades shortly and I understand the company are making a presentation tomorrow, so hopefully this will generate more interest from potential investors. I will be buying another book of saving stamps tomorrow morning to help keep the momentum going every little helps... Analyst John Cummins at WH Ireland said: "Prelims from Crawshaw demonstrated the significant progress that continues to be made across the business, with pre-tax profits of £1.0m in line with our forecast after the three upward revisions in the second half. "The first new high street store has been opened in three years and we now expect a further two stores to be opened this year. We maintain our 'buy' recommendation and raise our share price target to 40p." hxxp://www.yorkshire Confident Crawshaws submit plans for new Rotherham facility A planning application has recently been submitted for alterations at Sandbeck Industrial Estate, Sandbeck Way, Hellaby that would allow Crawshaw to occupy a 12,000 sq ft unit for the manufacture and distribution of specialist foods utilising the existing facilities that were previously occupied by Buxton Foods. The plans also include the formation of a new entrance to the front elevation of the property to create a trade shop. Plans state that bringing the empty unit back into use would create "20-30 employees in the first instance to support a successful and expanding national food producer and retailer." hxxp://www.rothbiz.c | ![]() playful
