16/4/2014 12:05 | ShareSoc, I have just found your message above on five different ADVFN boards that I read, none of which are to do with any of the three companies you say are presenting at the Leeds event. I find this sort of spamming totally unacceptable, and want no part in an organisation that appears to consider it legitimate behaviour. I hope this is an isolated mistake on your part. If I'm wrong about that and it continues to happen, I will have to conclude that ShareSoc is not an organisation I wish to belong to any more, and accordingly terminate my full (paid) membership when it next comes up for renewal. 16/4/2014 11:40 | Any of our Crawshaw friends in the north meeting up for a pre event shopping spree at the Leeds store then on to the ShareSoc event ? I will be up to help support the first one to get off the ground and they need a packed house so do drum up support. | ![]() davidosh
16/4/2014 11:33 | There is a joint ShareSoc/Hardman company seminar in Leeds on the 20th May with Ideagen, Avacta and Getech all presenting. It is the first ShareSoc event in the North of England with no charge for the evening. It would be great to see as many investors there as possible showing your support and to encourage more events like this in the North. For more details and registration for the event go to: hxxp://www.eventbrit Twitter @ShareSocUK | ![]() sharesoc
14/4/2014 15:46 | "At 2p we were capitalised at £1m and had £1m cash in the bank. That was tough to take," Mr Rose said. Not as tough as Schroders the fund manager's decision to sell a large stake at 2p. It still retains some stock. Management, institutions and private investors all have around a third each. Actually I was rather pleased with Mr Schroders decision ! This bit was interesting... It has done well since the horsemeat scandal and is continuing a "cautious" store opening programme with the aim of becoming a national chain. That should increase as a new store format has cut the cost of fitting out stores from £500,000 to about half of that. With store and fit out costs reducing that may allow us to open even more each year as cashflow permits. | ![]() davidosh

01/4/2014 20:13 | Hi thekida, IIRC it was Delia Smith who said that her husband's signature dish was beef pie, but that she preferred his sausage in cider. I gather she may have been a bit 'merry' at the time ! TB | ![]() extrader
01/4/2014 18:17 | The Moor in Sheffield has always been a difficult area for retail, if I recall it is some distance from the centre, with only Debenhams as a large retailer in that area. Most cities have an area that's off the beaten track and it's The Moor for Sheffield. It's probably the correct area for CRAW though, cheaper overheads and near the market, meets their customer profile etc. | wilbur
01/4/2014 17:24 | One day I will publish all the email replies....It caught out at least twenty investors and has been doing the rounds on twitter too. Both CRAW and JLH ticked up after the tweets too. | ![]() davidosh

28/3/2014 09:50 | I was at a large investor event last night in London and another CRAW shareholder and I must have answered questions to at least ten investors about Crawshaws as there was much discussion about the success of companies attending the Mello events. I suspect even now there are some large shareholders only just coming aboard. The four companies presenting last night were Tribal, Plaza, Primary Healthcare and Alliance Pharma so all much larger companies but an interesting event. | ![]() davidosh
