03/7/2014 18:34 | Is it worth trying to get an idea of votes that could be cast against? Should be done off board. I rang Lynda Sharrett (Co Sec) today - she was out of the office. A rather weary sounding Yorkshireman said my name would be added to the list. It may be worth other disgruntled shareholders doing the same. We have a useful holding. Garbetklb | ![]() garbetklb
03/7/2014 18:20 | Well Davidosh and playful have sizeable holdings and no comment today from them unless they are talking behind the scenes. Very interested on their views. Really don't want to vote against myself given the growth i've had so far and doubt you would ever get the 25% needed. | battlebus2
03/7/2014 16:40 | It gets my vote against as well. If they want to raise funds to expand the company at 42p per share, they can offer me my fair share of the new shares at that price in an open offer, and I'll happily take them up - and if possible put in an excess application to help cover any shortfall in applications by other shareholders. But if they want to give away that opportunity to others without even offering it to me, I object! Not that my objection will do much on its own, as I own well under 1% of the current shares... So in response to Garbetklb's questions: Do we oppose it? And with what chance of success? my answers are "Yes" and "Dunno - depends how many of you join me!" Gengulphus | ![]() gengulphus
03/7/2014 11:08 | 42p would have been a good price when they started discussions with the placees so can't object about that. The main problem is not adding an open offer with clawback for existing shareholders. It would have cost them less than 50k to add but would have been worth much more in getting shareholder support. I shall be voting against Resolution 2 (misapplication of preemption rights) unless they change it. | ![]() wjccghcc
03/7/2014 09:00 | Don't be guilty of wishful thinking guys. in my opinion it is more likely than not that the share price will drift towards the placing price because whoever has bought the shares could instantly sell them for a profit if the share price was above 42p. | ![]() useless23
03/7/2014 08:39 | I don't think 42p is that outrageous - it only takes us back to the (then) high in mid June. | ![]() skinny
03/7/2014 08:36 | thanks both; must say the resilience of this does surprise me! | ![]() janeann
03/7/2014 08:33 | Don't see these falling anywhere near 42p janeann, if you hold tight you will be well rewarded imv. | battlebus2
03/7/2014 08:16 | janeann, yes I did the same. Personally I suspect investors will expect CRAW to be able to make such good use of the cash that it won't get anywhere near the placing price. So long as CRAW can manage the roll-out, such that brand standards are maintained in the new stores, CRAW will be expected to turn into a major money making machine. All IMHO, DYOR. | ![]() shanklin
03/7/2014 08:15 | I agree that this will help the business build & progress - but why should new shareholders get their share at a substantial discount? And is there any reason why we shouldn't know who the new shareholders are? Garbetklb | ![]() garbetklb
03/7/2014 08:13 | I bought some back yesterday, much to my annoyance this morning. Aren't these now likely to creep back down to nearer the placing price? | ![]() janeann
03/7/2014 08:07 | Garbetklb I am sure its a done deal and no doubt it will be good for the share price going forward. It may even be a cost effective way of raising the cash. I just find it irritating not to get a piece of the placing. Even so, having yesterday bought back the few I sold at 66p for 59p, I have just bought back the ones I sold at 53p before the results. All IMHO, DYOR. Aaargggggggggggggghh | ![]() shanklin
03/7/2014 08:04 | Probably 75% because it's a special, but do we want to get involved in that sort of thing, at the end of the day this is a huge step forwards for CRAW with 200 stores and the profits that will bring in we will see a huge uplift in the share price over the coming years. | battlebus2
03/7/2014 07:59 | What % do CRAW need to get the resolution through? I don't know what % PIs hold, but would think it significant. This seems spectactularly un- shareholder friendly - I suppose in mitigation, this was being discussed when the share price was lower; but why not go back to the VCTs and others and renegociate price? It's not as if the company is in trouble, the shares unpopular and this is a rescue rights issue - yet it's being priced as one. Do we oppose it? And with what chance of success? And, clearly the news leaked out...... Garbetklb | ![]() garbetklb
03/7/2014 07:37 | Yes, institutions take none of the risk and then get given their shares at a massive discount. Are WH Ireland working for CRAW or the institutions? All IMHO, DYOR. | ![]() shanklin
03/7/2014 07:29 | Well it wasn't profit taking....8 million raised in a placing to allow us to accelerate growth with plans to open 200 shops. Some negatives for me , the placing price of 42p for both issues and if i'm reading this right it looks like P.I.'s won't be offered any. | battlebus2
01/7/2014 18:36 | Just some profit taking i guess after such a strong run it's not surprising. 125 trades today too. | battlebus2
01/7/2014 18:29 | Well just Scoffed that "Buttons" farm shop steak and it melted in my mouth....if anybodys going to Cornwall look them up....fan-bloody-tas TK yum yum | thekida
01/7/2014 16:49 | No views on the movements Garbet, but have you ever thought of writing riddle's for a living ;-) | ![]() 27ben
01/7/2014 16:46 | Some rather lively trading today..... I sold a small proportion of my holding yesterday, anticipating a modest pull back - but not of the size seen today. Automatically bought back my holding for a bit less than I sold, but significantly more than it's closed at today. Bought a few more near today's low. I'd be interested in any views on todays movements. Garbetklb | ![]() garbetklb
01/7/2014 11:44 | - Quite a few Farm shops already are selling online - just check out E-Bay in the Food & Drink section. No need to go shopping - Royal Mail Deliver - You just require a freezer. [not sure how they pack the parcels - insulated box perhaps] | ![]() k mon
29/6/2014 21:50 | just came home yesterday from a lovely holiday in cornwall and the day before we left I spotted a sign saying "Buttons Farm shop for meat" so off I went down the narrow lane for half a mile and came to this farm. Inside the shop there were three butchers cutting up the meat, and I noticed a sign saying we deliver anywhere in England. Bought some steaks which as yet I have to try, but thought if they can deliver so should crawshaws? TK | thekida
29/6/2014 17:55 | I tried TK, I tried | drsmessguide
29/6/2014 17:35 | I was alerted to this share when they were 17p by a chap who posts on here, never bought in thought nah they wont do well, how wrong was I TK | thekida
29/6/2014 17:30 | TK....If you come to the Mello Investor Weekender in Derby in 7-9th November I will buy you as many Crawshaw Hottie dogs as you can personally eat ! Crawshaw will be the official meat supplier and also cinema style usherettes will be providing Crawshaw specialities including hot dogs all through the three day event as they have a store in Derby. They will have a stand and Richard Rose will be one of the headline presenters. The event will really raise the profile of Crawshaws with investors although after the incredible rise of the past few months there must be hardly any investors that have not at least heard the name and know something about them even if the vast majority have never tried their products or been in a store. | ![]() davidosh |
