12/8/2004 15:27 | Yes Cash burn as ever but there must be something good in the pipeline! Looks like we have until Xmas before we need to go back to the market and dilute all our interests! Next issue at £1? Whataretheydoing? | gnugnu
11/8/2004 18:14 | Interim results out this afternoon. President and COO, Valentine, optimistic. | grgkecer
19/7/2004 16:52 | Still £1.20 I was right about one thing. It has hit a low that has stuck. Next movement will be interesting when it happens! | gnugnu
12/7/2004 17:57 | It doesn't help that the Pt price is on the rise again. CDT's short-term performance IS disappointing; whether it will prosper in the longer term remains to be seen ... if you have the patience. Johnson Matthey ( )is an alternative, but with other eggs in its basket. I should think the metal content DOES stay in the engine somewhere, presumably along with the carbon. | grgkecer
12/7/2004 17:04 | Like that!. I presume the platinum/cerium is discharged burnt in another non toxic unNox form....IT CANT STAY IN THE ENGINE can it? This stock is either VERY undervalued or I have bought another stinker! | gnugnu
08/7/2004 15:42 | CDT say that there are no metal emissions - so the Pt must stay in the vehicle somewhere. I wonder who gets to mine that. | grgkecer
08/7/2004 15:40 | Nothing. Just trying to demonstrate that Pt content and price WERE significant. It may well be that all CDT's competitors use more than 5g per kilolitre, but in that case, why doesn't the price go up instead of down? | grgkecer
08/7/2004 13:13 | Yes it would! But who only needs 2ppm Interesting though! Whaddayouknowthatido | gnugnu
07/7/2004 16:01 | "Patented bimetallic formulation combines ultra-low levels of platinum and cerium (4-8ppm)". ppm is the same thing as grammes per tonne, and well worth mining at that concentration. 5g are worth more than $100, which would give about 10c a litre. A doubling of Pt price (not impossible, particularly if the technology is widely adopted) would give a significant rise on US diesel price. If this "calculation" is correct, 2ppm (if that were achievable) would give a competitive advantage. wouldn't it? | grgkecer
07/7/2004 12:13 | AND PP uses hardly any. The price of platinum is not a problem! GnuGnu | gnugnu
26/6/2004 09:16 | It does not seem to be entirely without competition: A continuing strong price for platinum must favour those products that use least. | grgkecer
21/6/2004 10:34 | Another depressing low for a fabulous technology stock EPA approved. CARB approval due any moment! Very limited stock in public hands. This product and associated technology reduces particulate matter emissions THE SOOT AND PUTRID SMOKE THAT COMES OUT THE EXHAUST OF VEHICLES WORLDWIDE...better than anything else available. How can it not be a winner. GnuGnu | gnugnu
17/6/2004 21:11 | There are also other smaller companies out there with competing products (some trying to sell into the UK too). Emissions Technology (a US company)is trying to get into the UK market ( www.ctech3000.com ). I don't see the uniqueness for CDT's product and think they will struggle to get a significant enough market. The risk involved seems to me to be heavily weighted compared to the potential reward. For you holders, I hope I am wrong. /A | a sacred lion
15/6/2004 09:21 | I don't see how this company can compete with Shell who have a much superior product and are obviously much better positioned to exploit the market. Is it just another case of the Tipster groupies marching the price of another failed technology. Are the pro's shorting it like 3DM? | samcool
11/6/2004 00:22 | I hope the involvement of supersalesman Farad Azima will be the start of the success story for Clean diesel. There are 4 or more interested parties in this stock . Be lucky. | crab4t
10/6/2004 22:50 | Hi, I bought these at 189p in Dec. last year after the Coca-Cola retrofit news. I have been rather dissapointed by the performance since, but reading soysoy's update I think now is the time to buy some more and average down. Just thought you'd like to know there are at least three of us holding this share. Cheers, Terry | terryjward
10/6/2004 19:50 | YES I THINK SO IT SHAME ITS NOT TRADED THAT OFTEN | soysoy
10/6/2004 19:44 | Hi soysoy, Thanks for the update - had spotted it anyway, but thought I'd just let you know that there ARE some shareholders out here and that you do not follow this stock entirely on your own!! Nothing to add really - I just wonder if anyone will ever cotton-on to the potential of this technology . . . Regards and good luck, Mac900 | mcdermott900

Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDT) (EBB:CDTI & AIM:CDT/CDTS) announced today that it has received verification from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the performance of its new diesel retrofit emission control system. The system, developed in conjunction with PUREarth, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., has demonstrated up to 75 percent reduction in toxic diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions under the rigorous Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) test protocol. The ETV program provides for independent testing, peer review, independent reporting and public disclosure of test results allowing end-users and regulators to compare the performance claims of vendors against a known protocol. Verified technologies are posted by the EPA on its website at www.epa.gov/otaq/ret The new system incorporates the use of CDT's EPA-registered Platinum Plus(R) fuel-borne catalyst (FBC) and a proprietary filter (CWMF) designed, manufactured and marketed by PUREarth under the PUREcatTM tradename. The FBC catalytically promotes more complete in-cylinder combustion and reduces engine-out emissions while improving fuel economy. Soot particles leaving the engine contain active catalyst and are trapped on the catalyzed surface of the filter. There the double action of the FBC and catalyzed surface reduces emissions and effectively oxidizes soot particles to keep the filter from plugging. According to CDT, this patented approach to soot reduction is capable of performing even under the low exhaust temperatures found in refuse trucks, local delivery and school bus applications. Systems have been operating on beverage delivery and refuse trucks for over 2,000 hours with no maintenance or cleaning. State and federal programs are providing funding and incentives for retrofits of verified technologies. This new FBC/CWMF system allows for high reductions at lower cost and with broader applicability than traditional filters. CDT also announced that it has submitted a formal application for verification of the FBC/CWMF as a Level 2 control to the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Under its Diesel Risk Reduction Program, CARB requires the retrofitting of the highest applicable verified technology to over 1 million diesel engines in the state. While performance of the FBC/CWMF is best on ultra-low sulfur fuel, the system is capable of up to 60 percent PM reduction on FBC-treated No. 2D diesel fuel. This makes it the only verified filter system capable of operation on No. 2D, added CDT. | soysoy

FARAD AZIMA FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STAMFORD, CT (June 10, 2004) ... Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDT) (EBB:CDTI & AIM:CDT/CDTS) announced that it expects to report developments concerning its EPA-verified systems for reduction of particulate emissions from diesel engines at its annual meeting, to be held later today. In May 2004 CDT was selected to supply its Platinum Plus(R) Purifier system in two projects to retrofit diesel-powered equipment in the State of Pennsylvania. The award of grants totaling approximately $335,000 was announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection on May 24 during the launch of the Philadelphia Diesel Difference Program. These grants are to Waste Management, Inc. and Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. for CDT's verified Platinum Plus Purifier technology. The Platinum Plus Purifier system is based upon the use of CDT's Platinum Plus fuel-borne catalyst (FBC) combined with a diesel oxidizing catalyst (DOC), and was verified by EPA in October 2003 to reduce emissions of particulates by 40 percent with normal sulfur fuel and 50 percent for ultra-low sulfur fuel (ULSD), about double the reduction available with DOC alone. This verification was for older (pre-1994) engines. In May 2004 verification was extended by EPA to all engines through 2003 model year. Now that the Platinum Plus Purifier technology is available to a wider range of engines, order inquiries have increased, the Company said. A second, higher-efficiency system, again based upon the Platinum Plus FBC and using a filter manufactured by CDT's development partner PUREarth, a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd., has been in field trial for over a year. This system was verified by the EPA on June 7, 2004. Particulate reduction for this system is verified at 55 percent for normal sulfur fuel to 76 percent for ULSD, and is currently applicable to 1991 to 2003 model years. Application has also been made to California Air Resources Board (CARB) for verification as a Level 2 system for the California-mandated programs that are now effective. The first order for Platinum Plus FBC has recently been received in Europe for use with diesel filter systems made in Europe, CDT added. In Japan, sales of the ARIS(R) injector to Mitsui continue to grow for stationary diesel engine NOx reduction applications, as well as for several mobile demonstration programs with heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers. In the US, CDT has been advised by its licensee, Combustion Component Associates, Inc. (CCA), of Monroe, CT, that it expects to obtain its first orders for mobile ARIS systems soon. The ARIS urea-based selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems dramatically reduce NOx emissions by up to 90 percent. MORE-MORE-MORE CLEAN DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES REPORTS INCREASING INTEREST IN ITS EPA-VERIFIED SYSTEMS Page 2-2-2 Clean Diesel Technologies also plans to announce at the annual meeting today that it has made an agreement with Mr. Farad Azima to provide business development advisory services, with immediate effect. Azima was previously Chief Executive and subsequently Chairman of Verity Group plc in the early 1990s, which developed into technology-licensing company NXT plc. Under Azima's management the group established itself as a leading company in new loudspeaker and voice-recognition technologies, with substantial intellectual property and international patents, and went on to license to over 200 major corporations in the US, Europe and Japan. Jeremy Peter-Hoblyn, CEO of CDT, commented, "In the past year, Clean Diesel Technologies has made a major step forward in achieving the crucial US Environmental Protection Agency verification of systems using its Platinum Plus technology. EPA standards are widely respected and followed by the international market. The diesel emission control market is still in the very early stages of development of what CDT expects to be a multi-billion dollar market for retrofit applications for the next 10 years and beyond. "Manufacturers of heavy-and medium-duty engines have announced that from about 2007 they will also start to use exhaust treatment systems, representing another multi-billion dollar long-term market," Peter-Hoblyn added. "With these opportunities ahead of us, and with technologies that are proven and cost-effective, the time has come for us to position CDT to maximize the commercial opportunities opening up in the US, in Europe and in Asia. Mr. Azima's knowledge and experience of developing a technology company in international markets should prove invaluable to us as we move forward." About Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc.
