12/7/2005 18:19 | SPEC12 It's not on the list because CDT's technology does'nt really have anything to do with global warming. Global warming is due to CO2 emmisions and although urea injection systems may produce small improvements in fuel eonomy (perhaps 3-4%) which reduces the CO2 somewhat, it's main aim is to reduce nitrogen oxides emmisions which are harmful to health. 11/7/2005 15:41 | They had a concept Merc. on there and mentioned it produced nearly 0% omissions via a clever device which mixed urea ! thats all Im afraid. | chippy2

29/6/2005 12:30 | It has been a long haul as but from the CEOs statement at the AGM on the June 9 in London it seems clear that the company is poised to move forward in the second half of this year. It is clear that it is overwhelmingly only mandatory regulation of emissions which will enforce users and manufacturers of diesel, or any other, engines to adopt emission reduction technology. It is seen as a cost that could make a firm uncompetitive unless also applied to its peers. It has been shown that the use of the CDTI fuel borne catalyst delivers fuel economy but evidently fleet managers have been bombarded by snake oil salesmen for years with products promising fuel economy none of which work, making them skeptical of any such claims, notwithanding the trails completed at the Southwest Research Institute and Cummins Engine Company and a dozen fleet trials, see page 7 of the Annual Report. Maybe the steep increase in fuel prices will get the message through. The press release on the June 9 following the AGM confirmed the CEOs statement that the company was working with Rhodia (the French chemical giant), Dinex (the leading european manufacturer of particulate filters) and Fleetguard, a worldwide distributor of parts and equipment for diesel engines, which itself is a subsidiary of Cummins Engine Company (the world's largest manufacturer of diesel engines). Also the grant of the european patent for CDTIs ARIS technology, US and Japanese patents already held. Last week the US Senate voted 91 to 1 in favor of a $200 million annual federal grant to states and the EPA to fund diesel emission reduction retrofit programs. One can be sure that a significant part of this will be applied to CDTIs technologies and it is exactly what the transport industry has been waiting for. For shareholders it was also most encouraging to see that Mr. John J. McCloy II had joined the Board as a non executive director, it is inconceivable that someone of Mr. McCloy's standing would have agreed to join the Board unless he was fully satisfied that the company's products and technologies had a significant part to play in the future of diesel engine technology and emission control. | david15

22/6/2005 16:43 | please give a signal... | satan 666
21/6/2005 23:10 | cheers chip....thought you had all upped and gone to leave me on me own. good link too. I think there are many watching closely who would prefer to wait for the big contract RNS than take a chance at this stage. Those that piled in durng the recent 40% spike are prepared to back the company now and take advantage of the potentially tiny market cap. I would normally wait for confirmation but this time I'm in early as I believe maestro rule is right about low mkt cap investing. Of course the company can talk up prospects, mkt share etc but until they land the big one we face a very anxious wait in such a volatile share. But they only need one major deal for this to 5 bag it's just a question of a big name taking the initiative. Spec | the speculator
