yes, they are building the infrastructure of the country too - roads and houses to rent, the numbers are huge. Definitely taking advantage the cheap prices.

Someone had to pay 540p for 2K at the close - not that much stock about.

Union Pacific Corp.'s (UNP) finance chief said the company will likely raise its shipping rates 5% to 6% this year over 2008 even as the railroad adjusts to reduced freight volume. China shipping in lots more iron ore, the country is on the rebound by the look of it - gonna suck the Baltic index up further imo.

Bought back in yesterday on a medium term view having been watching them with interest over the last few weeks. Was a long term holder until last year (along with James Fisher which is still in the doldrums) and they did very well for me. I don't know Daniel Stewart's time scale, but think that £7 could be conservative if the shipping indices are really beginning to turn.

Clarkson rose 36¾p to 498¾p after Daniel Stewart advised its clients to buy the shipbroker. This follows strong gains in shipping indices as demand from Chinese steelmakers starts to recover. The broker, which has a target price of 700p, said the stock offered exceptional value at current levels.

Brokers seem to like the look of Clarckson and it looks very cheap. A P/E of just under 5 going into 2009. derd cheap.

Times has a "in the know" section talking of buying CKN as broker urging clients to pile in as great value at these levels.....all helps DYOR / IMO etc etc
