Dunno Bluebelle, been in an uptrend for a while, good to see, still not demanding rating and div still attractive.
This has almost double bagged for me, a pleasant surprise considering its not a racey stock.

I used to hold CKN. Great company and considering buying back in. Just wondering how the fall in the dollar is going to affect them, as they recognise most of their revenue in US$?

Looks like it ! But you would think there was something behind today's move : I know there have been some reasonably large daily fluctuations but not a rise of this sort.

Most certainly choppa, both fundies and TA merging together in a powerfull movement upwards.

Dont often get both the two in a very positive state.... but we have here.

Latest PE of 5ish and 7ish going forward. Should have some uplift from here FI.

Lovely chart on CKN Clarkson when you have time to analyse it. First a wedge in a uptrend (could even be a flag if I had got my pole in the right position) and then a breakout into a uptrend channel.

Sp just of the floor aswell of the channel and no clear resistance in site...what a beauty. 700p first thing and then we should go on for more.

There is an October resistance line projection suggesting a 750p target for CKN on a one month view, even after all the gains, especially while the 10 day moving average now at 608p provides support.

Serious hat on now, CKN Clarkson way undervalued on a forward P/E to 2010 of just under 7 and the NAV is estimated to come in at 625p.

Its a bargain imho.

The clue is in the name, I believe - Baltic DRY Index. It is not oil tankers' prices. A report a couple of weeks ago said it was down to China importing iron ore and food.

wtf is happening to BDI? - too much of a spike to be sustainable - comfortable at around 3000 but is tgis just down to oil producers and speculators using tankers to store crude to drive up prices?

Yesterday's huge 400+ BDI rise now showing - clearly back into bubble territory. Amazing how papers still report global recession.
