02/2/2017 13:31 | Jonga - hi Yes, I think it took everyone by surprise, including me. - As Jfishy said yesterday, you can still buy this share up to the cut-off date (02/03/17) and receive this fabulous dividend. - Normally of course the share price readjusts after cut-off but there is so much expectation now linked to Centamin that there's a possibility that the share price will remain robust and quickly recover. - It's something I'm considering. - Rebs | rebess4
02/2/2017 12:48 | Thanks Rebs, thank you for that, I thought that was the amount but could'nt believe it! I!ve been here for years, sold some about 8- 9 years ago @ £1.36 but kept over half as This has been my most interesting share. I missed the boat when it hit £2 so I just decided to hang on. I put them into an ISA when the price was about 70p, I started buying @ around 11p, 15p, 38p, and 50p, so my average cost is 38p ish. So a happy man I am Thank you again, I've been following your posts for years | jonga

02/2/2017 11:17 | Sounds logical Rebs :-) The worlds eyes will be watching the cc. It can only go in Centamins favour imho :-) | sawadee3
02/2/2017 11:02 | Interesting that after yesterdays results, the increased EPS has reset the P/E ratio to around 11. - Randgold, after their results has reset their P/E to around 27. - Almost 2.5 times greater. - If we establish parity with them, our share price would reset to around £4.00 - Just a thought, it's not a pure science, but to establish parity with our peers would be a normal expectation. - It shows how much is riding on the cc. - I think I've got that right, by all means have a go if you think I haven't. | rebess4
02/2/2017 10:52 | Gannin alang the Scotswood Road, to see the Blaydon Races ! :-) | rebess4

02/2/2017 10:23 | rotrader, great quote :-) Gold going the way Rebs predicted it would last week :-) Rebess426 Jan '17 - 11:15 - 25575 of 25635 0 0 Morning guys February Options expiry today. - They have to manipulate the POG in order to ensure that the punters are out-of-the-money and their premiums are lost. - it happens every time. - Normal service will be resumed shortly. - Good luck | sawadee3
02/2/2017 10:18 | Should really be up at £2 in short order. Can't really ask for a better annual report... | dmitribollokov
02/2/2017 10:16 | Broken up from inverse H&S . Re rating underway | juju44
02/2/2017 09:53 | The cost of production is set to fall It seems to me that all other things being equal the dividend flow in the future will be at high levels and seems reasonably assured Not reflected in the current sp! | phillis
01/2/2017 22:54 | Saw, very true :-) Rebs, I can't see a lot of room for dividend growth going forward (at least until other prospects come on line) but I would be surprised if CEY management don't look to at least maintain the dividend - they are known for being sensible & cautious after all & investors do seem to expect solid companies to slowly but surely increase the dividend. Given that, I would expect next years dividend to be a little over 13p rather than going down to 9p. However, even with 9p, we are still looking at a FTSE100 beating yield at todays price :-) | jfishy55
01/2/2017 22:49 | The Pie, Yes, I think much of the outcome is priced in, but only with people prepared to stomach the risk. On the day, I think the price would immediately go up a bit and then fall back slightly. However, it will be a significant risk removed allowing more investment from risk averse PIs, funds etc going forward and so over time will prove very positive. The same with the dividend announcement today, by the ex date I suspect the prise will rise. The important measurement to me will be by how much the share price moves down on ex day - will it be the full 11p? If it is less then it says a lot about how the market sentiment lies. | jfishy55
01/2/2017 19:19 | Disappointing px action today, they were great results with great divi. Is rhat a gap that needs filling or do the wicks cancel it? Hope we can just go up, fed helps, should be better action tomorrow. | dmitribollokov

01/2/2017 14:36 | Looks like yanks buying into this news | juju44
01/2/2017 13:24 | rotrader Never seen that quotation before but it strikes a chord with me. Just on today's events from the webcast, I believe a 9 cents per share dividend is a likelihood for 2017, equal to a yield of 4.5% at todays price. - If the cc gets resolved, shedding it's handicap, putting us on an even-keel with our peers, this share could rise to a value of £3 - £4, or even more, in my opinion. | rebess4
01/2/2017 13:19 | Do we feel the court case is factored into the current price? I've no doubt we'll take a hit if the case went against CEY but what would the upside would be if successful? | the pie
01/2/2017 12:53 | Thought the share price might have done a bit better | phillis
01/2/2017 12:23 | Saw Yep - An airline ticket to romantic places. - That's where we'll all be going, thanks to Centamin | rebess4 |
