12/1/2017 12:14 | Apologies for failing to attend the recent poetry session, I was attempting to calculate dividends! Luckyvince, hopefully the below will enable you to remain lucky :-) (expect an absolute minimum of 3 pence per share, there is plenty of scope for it to be higher, I suspect 4pps). I've been trying to calculate how much the final dividend might be. I've struggled with calculating the cashflow for Q4 so would appreciate any help/advice & also feedback if I have made any mistakes with my calculations. Although, I cannot calculate the Q4 figures, I can determine how much the dividend contribution is per share for Q3 ($0.018 per share). As more gold was mined & sold in Q4 I would expect Q4 dividend contribution to be higher. As such, I think a minimum dividend of 0.036. I had been hoping the final would be double last years as the interim was double. This confirms that that will likely be the case with scope for the dividend to be higher. "[Dividend will be] at least 30% of the Company's net cash flow after sustaining capital costs and following the payment of Profit Share" Q = Net cash flow - exploration exp & capex - profit share Q4 projected 164.14 - op/corp admin - 37.2 - profit share = ? Q3 RNS 139.9m - 34.4 - 35.42 = 70.08 Q2 RNS 96.1m - 27.8 - 0 = 68.3 Q1 RNS 60.4 - 24.7 - 0 = 35.7 Q1+Q2 0.02 per share = 23.04m which is approx 22.5% of net cashflow (between 15 & 30% as expected). Q3+Q4 is expected to be over 30%. Q3 dividend contribution = 0.018 (30% of Q3 above). Q4 dividend contribution = ? | jfishy55

11/1/2017 11:38 | Hi Rebs, i had a feeling, or rather hoping, you may have taken advantage of the dip yesterday with HGM. It recovered nicely in the afternoon and continues to strengthen today. Still only 538M M/Cap :-) I wouldn't call you cynical, i'd call you experienced and knowledgeable :-) The guys over there would welcome you, but do whatever you feel comfortable with :-) Edit: Cheers GARYCOOK :-) | sawadee3

11/1/2017 11:18 | Saw - Good morning You are joking aren't you? - What is it a 'Wine and Cheese' do. Who on earth in their right minds would wants a cynical old sod like me as a contributor? - I mean here in the land of the Yorgi exiles I'm tolerated, we all share the same fate and fortunately the same sense of humour, but I'm not so sure whether others would appreciate it. - I do post on LSE but there I'm very serious and maintain a decorum at all times, whereas here and with you and David and the guys in the club I let my corsets out and I love it. - The thing is I'm not yet an investor in HGM but I am thinking about it as we speak. - To comment without skin in the game would make me a bit of a troll don't you think? | rebess4
11/1/2017 10:23 | Rebs, you have been invited to the HGM thread, the guys there would definitely appreciate your contribution :-) But as they say in Thailand "Up to you" :-) | sawadee3

10/1/2017 14:55 | I'll buy that for s dollar Saw ! | davidtil
10/1/2017 12:01 | Saw - I am like Warren Buffet in that the car I drive is 17yrs old. - Mind you, the similarity ends there.:-) - It's just that my philosophy regarding money is that it's not for spending but rather for managing. - Of course in it's management you have to spend some of it, obviously, but spending it on something where it's value drops precipitously the moment you drive it of the forecourt and continues on a downward trend from thereon is not my idea of good money-management. - It's just a thing with me. Concerning a poem and my advancing years, there are lines out of Kipling's 'If' that I very much identify with. If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run then yours is the earth and everything that's in it and which is more you'll be a man my son. The unforgiving minute of course can only be the last minute of your life and in these lines Kipling is urging you to keep going right up to the end. - That's how I read it anyway and that's what I'm gonna try to do. :-) | rebess4
10/1/2017 11:27 | You're still a young lad compared to Warren Buffet Rebs :-) Interestingly, he claims he has a "fountain of youth" diet which is 25% Coca-Cola. I wonder why that is! Optimistic as ever Rebs, i feel a poem coming on :-) | sawadee3
10/1/2017 10:59 | Saw - Good morning Kinnell - fame at last approaching my 80th year. - Not sure about the genius tag, although it is very kind of you to regard me as such. If only I was ! - I'll go along with the best looking title though, definitely, beyond argument. :-) It's getting exciting don't you think? - The ether is becoming charged with expectations. I can feel it. Maybe it's the Trump thing, I don't know, but I think we are in the right place. It won't be a straight line, it never is, but over any measurable period I believe we will be showing an upward trend. Good luck - Rebs | rebess4
10/1/2017 10:09 | Rebs, i just mentioned you on the HGM thread. Check it out, you might like it :-) | sawadee3

09/1/2017 16:25 | Wow quick reply Rebs, much appreciated :-) So long as gold continues to strengthen, HGM should be a great little performer :-) | sawadee3
