That makes todays share price look ridiculously cheap!

To the best of my knowledge, EPS statistics are not affected by the profit-share arrangement.

Looking forward to the prelims on Friday. - The EPS forecast for Y/E Dec. 16 is 15.60p - If this is met, and it's looking good, it will put the present share price on a P/E ratio of 9. - that will be ridiculous ! - A modestly adjusted P/E of 12 would put the share price at 193p - A P/E of 15 would give us 234p - As the Centamin story begins to unfold it's just amazing, you would think that the figures are being made-up by some fantasist. - Good luck. - Rebs

FT thought this was worth a re-visit

But Centamin, the Egyptian gold miner, was squeezed 5.4 per cent higher to 130.4p amid vague talk it might be a takeover target. Dealers speculated about potential interest from one of the gold majors or from China.

Centamin trades at a discount to sector peers in part because of a long-running legal case challenging the validity of its mining licence. The group is expected to deliver sector-leading production growth of about 30 per cent over the next few years as investment winds down at its Sukari site, in Egypt’s Eastern Desert, and was sitting on cash and equivalents of $388m at the end of September versus a current market value of $1.8bn.
