a lot of the recent fizz can dissipate quite quckly here. casp are good at doing that.

all it needs is current 803 interval to have failed. then what? they drill to the original td. but in the meantime they have no way to replace the production they are selling, so unless they want to go belly up for lack of cash the shallows cash cow sale will have to be aborted.

in which case all thoughts of sale proceeds can go out the window. it didnt strike me as a good price anyway, though obviously i'd prefer 803 to succeed even if that means the sale goes ahead.

a lot of the other stuff is pie in the sky for now, casp have not covered themselves with operational glory, everything has dragged on for years and can continue to do so. just because cc has written some cosy sentences doesn't mean a thing.

am i fed up with casp? why would anyone think that?

they could of course produce some positive results...then the game changes. maybe they are doing a 30 day test at 803. now wouldn't that be nice.

Put it this way, there's enough in the pipeline to mean good news is likely from a variety of sources, income over H2 looks extremely good (including the prospect of a special dividend after shallows sale) and at the AGM a few weeks ago Clive was genuinely excited about prospects.

803 is clearly the Biggie and as they're flow testing then we simply have to be patient.

In answering your question I'm struggling with casp past performance delivery with regard to these matters bias!

I'm veering towards a half empty half full response and ending up with to be honest I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes here

Come back at the end of H2 and ask the same question, at which point I might be in a position to get off the fence!

Just a question I hope for debate.Is a delay on any news likely to mean good or bad news. I tend to think that if there was any good news in the offering they would be keen to make it known immediately. If however there was bad news then they would continue to hold on to it and wait for good news to compensate for the bad.

Not if the new acquisition is loaded towards a paper deal and it mirrors the route to acquisition similar to 3AB, B8 and WS

I'm sure the family would love a few more million CASP shares for under 5p before the 803 news breaks ;-)

The pesky pis have made 46% since suspension was lifted, so they can accept who wears the trousers or sod off!

No guarantees but if we're fortunate enough to get positive news on 803 tomorrow, the bid is like a coiled spring, ready to bounce in a big way. No I don't know there's positive news, tomorrow BUT would be a great time to release it. MMS tight on stock, huge demand and pop, a big gap up and double figures breached at the end of the day dependant on news. All futile til we see it but the ducks are line up, just need s better shot than u k ie who ;)

Imagine you are negotiating to buy a mining company

You agree a cash and paper deal

Mining company shareholders will only agree deal if the paper is <5p

Hence the MMs working hard on keeping lid on price today?

Are we about to get another RNS which is not a 803 update?

Nope, I don't believe that's it. They're after stock and that de and is building until somebody(s) let go. Why would you let go when there's loads of imminent material news, most of it should be positive even if 803 isn't a winner. Investors are obviously expecting positive news.
