Do you not just think it's folk making the most of this 'window' to switch from unwrapped CASP to their protected 2024/25 ISA entitlement...the buys and sells fit the ISA play

The big online search for shares by MMs is another matter though and I have no explanation other than someone wants alot of shares at a specified price and the MMs are on the hunt for manos de papel! ;-)

Ignore the published bid.

Can sell a decent size (if I was mad enough at this juncture to do so) for 4.64p. Published bid 4.50p.

Why do they do it when it's so easy to check the misrepresentation? Just be honest and set it to 4.60p?

Still huge lumps can be sold online for around 4.5p

Must be someone very friendly with MMs when they are prepared to manipulate like this, anyone got the number for the FCA handy? ;-)

Can sell 2.5m shares at 4.52p online in one lump, don't recall this ever being possible with CASP

The MMs must be seeing pent up demand in their order book around 4.75/4.8p?

The prospect of making 10x the margin you mention in a day must be very tempting, particularly if 803 RNS is published with a positive bias!

It's probably the same person who bought 600k yesterday @4.63p. £1000 of margin for 2 transactions, good business. Sadly, the lack of news is allowing peeps to trade it in a range until next news, good bad or indifferent.

By the way I would recommend properly reading the AR. It is long and takes a fair bit of time but it is well written and gives a very good explanation of the reasons for their decisions and the future strategy.

That was a total skank day by the MMs and a very good sign. They dropped the price(and the spread) this morning and scared people (no news - credock said Tuesday [in truth the had started sweating when Clive's email doesn't arrive by 7.20 but the price drop on top] - they were getting twitchy) and then you could sell millions of shares in one go at around the mid-price early afternoon. Unheard of! Then the classic aim market afternoon retrace but surprise surprise on a very wide spread again. I would hold these and see what 803 brings. There was a line hidden in the AR that I thought was interesting: "Approximately 2.300 bopd excluding any production from Well 803." - so there is already production, is it commercial tho? Is it what we all want (3k bopd lols). Of course I'd settle for less and still be happy.

Got back to see bit of move up in price which is good. Good price action today. Down , then up on above average volume. Suggests tomorrow should be a up day as well.

Thinking aloud here. If 803 ain't flowing, why didn't they just keep quiet about the find and drill on? We'd be none the wiser. Just a thought

The MMs will always make a killing but have been taking advantage since re admission with 5-10% spreads, it's robbery and deters trade.

Jay,Nobody knows the true position on 803, only Caspian leadership. 803 could be non commercial but worst case they drill on, not the end of the world as this was a bonus find and we have a busy H2 ahead and most of the news is likely to be positive. We're going to know soon enough re 803 but some investors will sell, especially the TA boys but the volume is tiny. Penrith,It tells a story and many investors aren't able to test the bid/ask in volume. It's the investor barometer to gauge investor interest and direction of travel, some may find it of interest. 803 could be flowing, nobody knows and a positive update will definitely throw the cat in :)
