They've been running on fumes since the divi fiasco and even then, were carrying all the baggage from tough trading years following Covid, thr riots in Kstan and the Ukraine war with the sanctions pain. They've traded through and they've borrowed where necessary with minimal dilution to shareholders and liabilities are high but they're going into a cash generative cycle with CE,shallows sale (poss) and increased production revenue. They've never been profitable and have managed to run the business on fumes and last 2 years have shown what's possible aided by their decision to trade oil. The business has a different structure today, many assets, a more diverse business and as stated, the CE alone is hugely understated on the BS and peeps are acknowledging its value and how it will strengthen the financial position if sold. The assets combined = more than curent sp, that's a fact so now it's time to deliver value from those that carry zippo value ie the deeps. If they do, the share price will go mad but as we know, you can't count chickens as history has shown.Going forward, 803 is the next big result. Positive and this will fly and those that have taken profits or are sitting in cash looking for a cheaper entry or averaging down, may get caught out as the gap up will be significant. Conversely, poor news and we retrace but the share price will bounce thanks to a busy operational schedule in H2.You pays your money? You takes your chance but by god, we are long overdue a bit of luck and maybe this unexpected find at 803 is the catalyst to a lucrative future for those with a bullish outlook :)

Yep, obviously need a windfall to pay the windfall divi ;) but they will pay one although I'd prefer share buy backs and share price appreciation. Maybe we get both if they deliver with the drill bit on some or all assets. We're all waiting for 803 outcome and as we all know, that's the biggie before B8 and other material news.

dont expect divi/buy back any time soon. shallow sale receipts unlikely to land until late 2024 or later.

meantime they are running on fumes, see the ar rns 17/07/2024.

ce receipts drip feed over 2 months (dont know payment terms) and improved production receipts will keep them going but not enough for divi/buy back.

hope for successful 803 test, then we will see share price gains. but would be silly to sell at that point because 803 could be the cash cow to expedite other work, that is assuming they get the nod from kaz. and again, say some of it kicks off in august, unlikely to see results until near year end. possible sooner surprise from new b8 wells if they get testing done quickly after kaz signoff.

X It will be 803 news Monday / Tuesday i reckon and we will fly up to double figures. All us long term holders are finally gonna get what we deserve very soon. Its then a case of selling or holding for Divi / buy back or even the old 24p of years ago.

The penny will drop at some juncture and peeps will be saying, why didn't I load up. All down to credibility and trust but ad we know, sentiment can change on a sixpence , shows how old I am ! Looks like the share price is going to go on a run. 803 news getting nearer and if it's poor, the share price will retrace, maybe to low 4ps bit they'll drill on. If it's successful, it will gap up, maybe 6/7p+ and dependant on commerciality, it won't stay there for long :)

I think you might get a bit more bang for your buck from a share buy back

Reduce the free float and you could add 2 or 3p per 1p of buy back

Special divs attract a higher rate of income tax than Ord divs, I'll take capital gains in my isa and sipp please ;-)

In reality when it happens it will probably be a combination of both

Over on LSE they're suggesting a special dividend of maybe 10m to 15m USD. At current exchange rate and shares in issue, the lower figure of 10m USD equates to around 0.00326 GBP per share, or £3,260 per million shares owned.

X totally agree with your asset comment

It's incredible that you can have an asset valued in the balance sheet FYA23 at $1.7m, knowing it can be leased out maybe a couple of times a year for $30m and have a replacement value of $300m

Wonder if the market will only eventually catch up once this asset is revalued in FYA24 audited accounts

Revalued to 33% of replacement value is $0.045 per share

Caspian Sunrise is currently testing Well 803, a deep well located in the BNG Contract Area. The well was drilled to a total depth of 4,200 meters, with its primary target at 3,950 meters and a secondary target at 4,200 meters. This finding was above expectations and located above the main salt layer.

Testing of an 11-meter interval is ongoing, and recent updates have extended the testing interval to 15 meters. While exact production rates for Well 803 have not been finalized, the positive indications so far suggest that it could contribute significantly to Caspian Sunrise's overall production, which is currently between 2,500 and 2,600 barrels of oil per day (bopd) across its BNG Contract Area

The ongoing tests cover an 11 to 15-meter interval, and while specific production rates for Well 803 are not detailed, Caspian Sunrise's deep wells typically have significant production potential.

For context, another well in the same area, Well 155, recently flowed at 900 to 1,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd). Production from Well 803 is expected to be in a similar range once testing is complete.

When I was a young man I was totally opposed to Casp paying dividends I wanted everything to be reinvested. When I reached middle age I was softening to the idea. Now I'm retired I lust yes lust after a divi . please

Looks like special divi on the way when any shallows sale concluded. The value, depends on what happens in the interim. Will they replace shallow revenue with 803/WS/B8, Airshagyl or NY deeps. They're continuing with the appraisal process on deeps and split the licence come 25 year prod licence application. Obviously easier to sell them both individually and I think that's a clever move. Market hasn't woken up to the opportunity yet and many current PIs are wary, we can all understand that but assets as they are today = far more than current share price and maybe Zeus will make that abundantly clear with their first broker note. 803 success makes that communication a lot easier and followed by some well needed PR.Current share price is misleading as true price is 4.61p mid and the trades @ 4.71p are buys.
