Got some special offers on excursions for our upcoming Norway cruise. All excursions 20% off.Should I go on a 20 Min helicopter ride (510 each dollars after 20% off) or perhaps a cheap rib ride plus a taste of king crab over 3 hours for a discounted $330 each? I think We'll be doing our own thing again. Am I just tight, or do those seem a bit expensive? What we will try to do is the Princess chef's table, which is an 8 course tasting menu iirc with matched wine, and comments from the head chef and sommelier. A bit naff but a decent experience for a hundred bucks each. Only 16 people each time it runs, which is I think twice per cruise and books up very quickly.

Time to get back into a trade in my ISA.

Buy 5000 @ 1050.

Not quite as low as wanted but path to recovery is looking good this year. I'm patient and will bare potentially further lows.

P&O Cruises has changed its alcohol allowance for embarking passengers.

Previously, adult passengers were permitted to take one litre of wine, champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur on board when they embarked the ship.

However, from May 7, the line has removed beer, spirits or liqueur from the list of permitted drinks, meaning passengers may only take one litre of wine or champagne on board.

Queen Anne now delivered and in Southampton waiting for maiden cruise on Frday. I was hoping it would get delayed for a couple of months so we'd be on the first cruise.

Must say, I don't think QA is an attractive shape, the rear end especially. Still the open space and pool which is often there is taken up by yet more cabins.

I expect she'll be sailing full at full price for a couple of years at least. It doesn't take long for ship owners to recoup their purchase cost, which is something like 0.7-1 bill I expect. We did get a rare special a few months back, balcony, dec for just over 100 quid per day. I doubt we'll see those prices again for a while.

Can't say I look forward to the ents - the lady they've partnered with for the ents seems very frumpy and old-style cunard, and there seems to be some 40s/50s style ents planned. Anyhow, if the expectations are low, they can easily be exceeded.

Top sliced on that spike and sold 30%, banked the profit and bought palm panther metal as could be a bid play as miners consolidation. Holding the rest and wait for full recovery, a bit worried on debt still though it seems they are paying it down.

Saying about queuing on Iona large part of the problem was that the weather was mostly bad as well so most of the people were inside where as with good weather 3000 plus people get outside so it was not just queueing for events it was just packed all the time..
