Carnival Corp Stock Be Worth Over Double Its Present Price More Based on Its Huge FCF

For one, we can project its adj. FCF over the next 12 months (NTM). For example, analysts now project revenue will hit $24.55 billion for the year ending Nov. 2024. And for next year, the estimate is 5.5% higher at $25.91 billion.

That implies its NTM run rate revenue will be $25.23 billion over the next 12 months. Therefore, if Carnival keeps making 22.5% of its revenue in adjusted FCF, it could end up making $5.677 billion in adj. FCF over the next 12 months.

Dividends Possible from FCF

That is more than enough to cover its upcoming principal debt payments. For example, the company said that as of May 31, 2024, its outstanding debt maturities for the remainder of the year, 2025, and 2026 were $1.2 billion, $1.7 billion, and $2.8 billion.

In other words, there will be more than enough FCF to begin making dividend payments like it used to in 2020. So far, the company has not said it will do so. But, if it announces this at the end of this fiscal year, expect to see CCL stock skyrocket.

Time to sell off some of the older inefficient ships whilst they still have a reasonable value. Chip away at that long term debt!

Standard & Poor’s upgraded Carnival’s debt rating to BB after the results, leaving it now just two notches away from investment grade. Carnival has prioritized reducing its debt over expanding its fleet, paying off $6.6 billion in the past 15 months while its new-build order book fell to its lowest in decades.

Once again, proves the big ships are a licence to print money.I think maybe the cost cutting has gone a bit too far. No fruit teas, less choice in menus, no dancing yet advertised, ents really mixed, some first class others had most walk out ( a so called comedian who was embarrassingly bad - he even rugby tackled his stage victim who tried running out of the theatre). Food also very mixed, raw chicken served one day, very dangerous on a ship. Amazingly to me, the MDR menu usually features sausages in some guise. FFS!.A low 7/10, but still good enough for me to buy some more fcds.

Buy 5000 @ 1050.

Not quite as low as wanted but path to recovery is looking good this year. I'm patient and will bare potentially further lows.

CEO is super positive on the call. As a long term shareholder the future is exciting 2025 will be even better.

Two thirds the way to investment grade rating :)

A break above 1400p would be super bullish.

Bang. Huge beat. Conf call later..

Net income was $92 million, or $0.07 diluted EPS, an increase of nearly $500 million compared to 2023. Adjusted net income of $134 million, or $0.11 adjusted EPS, outperformed March guidance by nearly $170 million, driven by higher ticket prices, higher onboard spending and the timing of expenses between quarters (see "Non-GAAP Financial Measures" below).

Record second quarter operating income of $560 million, nearly five times 2023 levels.

Record second quarter adjusted EBITDA of $1.2 billion, increasing over 75 percent compared to 2023 and outperforming March guidance by approximately $150 million (see "Non-GAAP Financial Measures" below).

Record second quarter revenues of $5.8 billion, with record net yields (in constant currency) and record net per diems (in constant currency) both significantly exceeding 2023 levels (see "Non-GAAP Financial Measures" below).

Gross margin yields increased by nearly 50 percent compared to 2023 and net yields (in constant currency) exceeded 2023 levels by over 12 percent.

Net per diems (in constant currency) were up over 6 percent compared to 2023, driven by both higher ticket prices and higher onboard spending.

Cruise costs per available lower berth day ("ALBD") increased 4.0 percent compared to 2023. Adjusted cruise costs excluding fuel per ALBD (in constant currency) were in line with prior year and better than March guidance in part due to identified cost savings with most of the favorability driven by the timing of expenses between the quarters (see "Non-GAAP Financial Measures" below).

Total customer deposits reached an all-time high of $8.3 billion, surpassing the previous record by $1.1 billion ($7.2 billion as of May 31, 2023).
