There isn't going to be a Brexit.

FTSE is not going to 6000, Aviva will only be below 350p on a no deal brexit. It won't get below 350p if there is a deal (which there will be).

buywell3 - 30 Nov 2018 - 15:58:58 - 23198 of 23247 Aviva - AV.

RSI in market weakness could see 10 again

Sub 400p and a new chart low in the pattern to then IMO occur

FTSE 6800 now likely ... possible 6500 soon after next year May and Brexit could see it hit 6000

Hence my previous AV. .... 350p call

I think the continued selling is due to equity income funds having redemptions and as Aviva has a high yield its probably geting sold off with the rest.
Its a good chance to pick them up on the cheap.

No one in parliament wants a "no deal", she is talking with "call me dave" for Plan B. Theresa has a Plan B, but you can't say you do or no one will accept your Plan A. Very smart Theresa. The matter will be resolved if the EU can make the backstop temporary, Theresa has already said she will f-u-c-k off after Brexit so it is in the interest of the conservative party to have a smooth brexit, Theresa can then get onto the speech circuit with "call me dave" and "iraq war blair".

Ok let me tell you what happened today, Theresa May basically said, "back my deal or it's no deal". We all know Theresa would never go for a no deal, but will labour call her bluff is the question. Her aim is to get her deal through, while threatening "no deal". Aviva and most of the UK equity sector tanked on that, i.e. the market is now pricing in a no deal. Theresa's husband is an investment manager, so will be prodding her in bed to stabilise financial markets. Aviva is near a bottom now, STRONG BUY.

There's a lot of nonsense on this board. Purple11 the price has not often been at 250. Since 1992 it has twice very briefly touched that price, in 2008 and 2012. That is twice in 26 years. Good luck with your wait!

It's just sheer panic selling, capitulation. The fact we are at 2016 LOWS, says a lot really. Mr Market has gone mad. Aviva is beyond a strong buy at these prices.

As a long term investment the risk reward ratio is firmly on the buy side, but hanging out for a lower price.

I took my first investment in Aviva today. The yield is good reasonably well covered by earnings. A longer term investment for me and could later accumulate more into 2019, depending on Brexit fall out. Good luck to all

The divi will save Aviva, we will soon be in silly yield territory of 8%. All the aviva board need to do is announce a dividend rise of more than 10%, that will keep the bears away.

That is not accurate. Take out the affect of the high oil price on the oil majors who disproportionately affect the market and you have your crash.

Coming up to 3 year lows. The FTSE hasn't even collapsed yet, not looking too good for Aviva over the next few months now
