As normal is just a broker moving their target price to be closer to the actual price to make their previous target price look less stupid. Can anyone point me to a broker that predicted the drop to where we are now?

Is that sarcasm? I actually think the markets will rebound when we finally find out what's going on with Brexit. It's the uncertainty that's killing us right now.

I doubled my ASEI holding yesterday, they have a heavy weighting to this
sector. However it won't capture all
the gains on a sector re-rating. AV. Has now bounced multiple times
from around the £3.60's.

Trump threw the kitchen sink at the USA markets today

He wants a steel wall/fence

If one is built ... Democrats want a concrete one

Now why is that do you think ?

AV. is now sitting mid Bollinger band ... Trump was on top form with questions screamed at him by irate women Journos ... he was actually enjoying himself and lengthened the question time ... great entertainment.

Reportedly the CEO left as there was not agreement with the BOD
on how the move the business forward, and addressing the share price underperformance.

I'd love to see one of the big German or American insurers make a bid for Aviva. I know Allianz was courting potential suitors earlier in 2018. Recent falls must make some of the British insurers look like taste acquisition targets......

I'm not making a case that AV. Is quality, it has significantly
underperformed the likes of PRU on a multi year basis.
A new CEO may change that, or may not.

CNA and SSE operate in a political/regulatory environment where
profitability is being eroded. Their business model is
In effect under attack. That's before you factor in a re-nationalisation threat.
RDSB might possibly bid for CNA, very much a speculative outside possibility only.

Essential.CNA and SSE have dropped roughly 12% in the past three months and Av. 25%
If Av. Is quality and CNA & SSE not, how do we explain the roughly twice as much drop.

I’m all for buying quality at fair price , but no longer certain what is quality and what is fair.

Luck,Timing, wheather, trump tweet, anything can now influence the share price and markets. That’s not a sign of good strong market with confidence behind it.

Having said that , where else are you going to invest your money , property ?, cash at bank earning .25% . Stock market is still the place to be in.

Not arguing just commenting

Would class neither CNA or SSE as quality holdings, once upon a time may be.
Power supply companies look value traps and have been for
sometime. Admittedly just a subjective view, others may see it very differently.

edmundshaw. Buy quality and hold is a good way to go and if there is a storm I would rather be in quality knowing it can weather the storm . With Aviva I sense this is quality and I’m not loosing any sleep whatsoever.

before purchasing AV. I Held SSE,CNA ,PSN,TUI, all quality shares all substantially lower then where I sold them . Point been had I not sold I would still be down.

Over to you whatsup - what a reasonable price is is for you to decide! My opinion is that the current price is very reasonable. But that is only my opinion...
