6p is appx 2.12% interest per year at yesterday's close. Not bad. Plus more to come. As I said here yesterday AV will pay divi b4vbanks. GLA.

generally pretty good. 165 loss in gi. strong nb sales. but strategically looks like europe and asia are up for sale which is good. cash remittances are low as not much came out of europe. overall tone is much more punchy. s2 ratio is v strong

A lot of you here write a lot of nonsense as nobody really has a clue as to what will unfold tomorrow. Why would the new CEO want to undermine a forward looking strategy when the financial base is clearly relatively strong...she needs to and will advance greater confidence for future growth as current virus issues decline. More people in the UK are now sadly dying of bowel cancer.I sense any fall in the share price tomorrow will quickly recover like RSA, LGEN,and a few others in the sector seen over last few days plus some MandA activity.the one today for Hastings by a Finnish Group was at quite a multiple...AV. Have a current PE ratio of just over 4.5,and as I posted the other day we sell at A huge discount to NTA and NAV. If we see sub. 270p then fill your ISA ...good wishes for you all regardless of your views.

Aviva CEO on result day on CNBC and bloomberg was very confident of paying DIVI. I presume this pay divi sooner than banks.

1robbob - good point, however, I'm hopeful for more dynamism from her. We've waited ages for something to happen rather than a rearrangement of the deck chairs.

At the rate that AV changes CEOs.... how many 'Kitchen Sinks' before we run out if assets !!!!
Very difficult for AB to do too much as she has been a Director for long enough to be part of past decisions
Shares have had a good run over the last week, dont be surprised if there is profit taking tomorrow..regardless of the results and statement

Guidance in the 4th quarter.
This is the 3rd quarter.
Not expecting any dividend update tomorrow.
Cheer up people, it could be a massive rights issue instead!

I don't mind kitchen sinking - it will push out the day trading chancers and give a good top-up point - plenty of cash set aside for just such a scenario

Not sure we’ll get much guidance re dividends other then repeating previous management decision to give guidance in third quarter . I fear she may go for that version together with kitchen sinking so as to look good going forward.

Hopefully we may get more M&A In this sector

I’m not sure I agree imagining. In reality a regulated board pays most attention to the regulator nowadays and shareholders come second. Indeed of course the policyholders rank above the shareholders.

A fine use of the English language imagining- a bungling milksop- sums him up perfectly!

Aviva is a plc and the BOD is answerable only to it's shareholders for their actions/inactions. It's obvious that the decision to pull the already 'declared' FD was wrong and should be honoured with immediate effect. The real problem then was the company was led by a bungling milksop who was out of his league. It is imperative that to begin to rebuild trust and restore value, the dividend has to be reinstated now! No if's or but's!
