01/3/2011 15:19 | That's the trouble, the bear side haven't put any tangible issues forward. Cawkwell is talking through his backside..... Being on holiday would not stop him selling shares, what sort of rubbish is that. Then as ukinvestor220 said, what did he check, crystal ball or tea leaves? And what shares did he sell, what was he still doing holding some if he feels so strongly, or are they borrrowed. He gives no verifiable information at all and his side bet on ManU is just window dressing he hopes makes him seem somehow more believable. Having said that he's done enough damage to cause doubt and fear breeds fear. I added this morning. | ![]() paleje
01/3/2011 15:18 | the key one being this has been over-promoted to clueless retail investing public by low quality shops like Daniel Stewart, RHPS and the TW stable of 'tipsters' | omnitrix
01/3/2011 15:17 | Some good points there Marksnsparkle, but I'm afraid I do not have the same respect for him that you would appear to have. If is argument was sound then that would be fair game but as it would appear it is not then he should show courage and a little humility to admit where he was wrong. One thing that is pretty much indisputable that in time facts will win the day and the company will profit or fall on their business plan. However it is unethical and could quite possibly be harmful to a company to spread inaccurate information or lies about a company. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:15 | Omnitrix ... what are the issues the bear side have put forward ... please summarise? | marksnsparkle
01/3/2011 15:14 | I see the 'bulls' and p'n'd brigade can only resort to ad hominem attacks rather than address the issues the bear side have put forward. | omnitrix
01/3/2011 15:13 | Chartwise this looks broken would not be surprised to see this in the 4's | omnitrix
01/3/2011 15:13 | GG, a former accountant, allegedly. | ![]() johnrxx99
01/3/2011 15:13 | Simon Cawkwell the man expelled from several professional organisations for seemingly criminal behaviour. | ![]() restassured
01/3/2011 15:12 | I'd rather trust a high quality short operator like Simon Cawkwell than the low quality pump merchants like TW,TB etc etc | omnitrix
01/3/2011 15:10 | Well summed up Greengiant. He needs to keep up the fear to ensure that those who blindly follow his every word continue to keep him in profit. | ![]() yorgi
01/3/2011 15:09 | greengiant ... I think Simon is in a difficult position in so much as ... Simon originally posted his bear argument on advfn then TW personally explained to him the errors that it contained Now that Simon knows his argument contains errors, I guess he would be on dodgy ground if he re posts information that he now knows to be untrue? So now simon has gone into vague, ghoulish and most probably wind up a few pi's mode But the most important point is ... bulish or bearish the future of AVN is not going to be decided by people posting on a bulletin board ... last Friday the volume was £8 million | marksnsparkle
01/3/2011 14:57 | So the great Bear Raider is selling more short because of the fundamental? Errr no. Then because of the Market demand. Errr, no. His sole belief is that management is "twaddling". It is an interesting concept that an accountant would base his reasoning on something so intangible, shows to me how deep his lack of understanding is and as such, I bought another 10k. Thanks again Gg | ![]() greengiant
01/3/2011 14:29 | I see caledonian are performing just as well, and they are the largest holder here. I wonder is 'summat is up at mill'. How long can they stay in if it continues down | ![]() superg1
01/3/2011 14:13 | "I checked again and sold more AVN this morning." Can this be proven, how much did you sell - if any at all. What did you check. Otherwise that is simply heresay, or market manipulation ? | ukinvestor220
01/3/2011 13:38 | Seems pretty much a stalemate at the moment.......we need a knight to get amongst them and remove what stands in our way and call checkmate and then we can rise again :-) | ![]() yorgi
