25/2/2011 17:06 | TW runs funds so his choices are important, like most on here fund managers have a number of shares in their portfolios to cover themselves. SC is long many companies and short quite a few as well.I don't put more than 10% of assets in any one share otherwise I can't sleep nights | ![]() malcolmmm
25/2/2011 16:56 | It has been a very clever campaign as I posted earlier which is hardly honest. Wait for the launch and we hit a peak. There was bound to be sellers at that time by some taking their profits which was quite understandable. So when the price was dropping we had an attack from newbies posting rubbish about why AVN would fail. Some believed and with a wealthy hedge fund shorting the price was going to fall and it did. Then someone supplied EK with a flawed thesis of why AVN was a short he posts it and as he has a large following then people took flight and sold and helped the shorters make more money. I added on Wednesday and as I have been saying for over a year I believe David Williams and all his team will deliver us a profit. | ![]() yorgi
25/2/2011 16:47 | To me this is simple - you either take on board what SC is saying re AVN or you follow the lead of the Directors who are purchasing shares at this price. The shorters have done well until today - no doubt some will be closing out. | dunluce
25/2/2011 16:42 | People have a choice yorgi, that's why it's just as important to remind everyone of the howlers made by these so called 'experts' like TW and EK. Hopefully then they won't follow tips blindly. For example EK is currently short of ASOS and once again is losing a lot. He has already admitted to losing £250k on shorting ASOS before! Similarly TW gets many wrong despite him harping on about his winners. For example, MYH, NXS, MIN etc etc | ![]() argy2
25/2/2011 16:41 | SC shorts arn't doing that well today - ASOS up 3% , BPC up 5% (I am long) Avanti up 3.8% does he care I expect not, have to agree with him on ASOS they seem well over valued | ![]() malcolmmm
25/2/2011 16:39 | Nobody asked him to take time out of his holiday to post his arrogant posting here again today ! Until today I didn't realise what an ignorant and arrogant man he was. Telling us that are holding that we are going to lose more money. | ![]() yorgi
25/2/2011 16:37 | Thats the point I'm making Argy. However almost any companies share price will fall when under an aggressive shorting with what has been a well planned campaign and a lot of people will follow EK because of his reputation. He often buys a stock then tells people by t1ps how undervalued the company is, up goes the share price and he sells banking a very healthy profit. | ![]() yorgi
25/2/2011 16:32 | Well as Evil is on holiday until 1 March I think we shoild let him enjoy his break and give him time to reflect.I may have lost a packet on paper but I am a charitable soul.Lol | ![]() standish11
25/2/2011 16:31 | May be nice to see him admit his figures were wrong but he was hardly wrong in 'shorting' given the price move. | ![]() argy2
25/2/2011 16:28 | I think you summed him up better than I did Restassured :-) Always the measure of a man to be honest and have the courage to admit when wrong but how many times have we seen Gerry Adams stand up and say black is white when everyone knows he is lying through his teeth. | ![]() yorgi
25/2/2011 16:22 | Simon since you post to us Gentlemen then I would like to ask you a question. Why when Tom has shown quite clearly that your analysis was wrong do you not have the courage to admit your figures were wrong and complete lack of understanding on the technology is shows your conclusion is wrong ? You are entitled to call it a short but not to publish inaccurate rubbish to harm a company. Yesterday was also a fun day for Avanti Communications AVN). Evil Knievil went publicly short posting comments on ADVFN (I refused to run them on t1ps as they contained just too many factual errors). What I had not realised was that his calculations, such as they were, had a decimal point in the wrong place. His informant was clearly illiterate (the note EK posted was strewn with errors) and also (see below) technically clueless. I had not realised at the time that he was innumerate as well. An interesting combination for someone purporting to be an investment analyst. What with also confusing MegaHertz and MegaBits the sums were not to put too fine a point on it all wrong. But once the old boy has an idea in his head there is no stopping him so off he went. Call me cynical but there was only one way to react we bought a stack more Avanti for the SF t1ps Growth Fund. | ![]() yorgi
25/2/2011 16:21 | Not if EK is in the West Indies! | ![]() argy2
25/2/2011 16:19 | Tom said he was coming to London following the Rivington EGM in the Isle of Man so perhaps he has met/is meeting EK.TW is off to America and the Toronto mining conference soon so I hope matters are sorted before he goes. While the cats away....and I don't mean Kitosh! | ![]() standish11
25/2/2011 16:18 | Enjoy your lunch SC.Target price for AVN? | ![]() argy2
25/2/2011 16:17 | You are too much of a slimebag to admit you posted lies. Why am I not surprised? You were thrown out of every profession you have been in for seemingly criminal behaviour. Leopards never change their spots, don't have a stroke with the heat. I imagine you represent the extremely high risk category. | ![]() restassured
25/2/2011 16:15 | Gentlemen, I am sorry not to have submitted copy today but I am in the West Indies for a short break and about to go out to lunch. My view of AVN has not changed. Simon Cawkwell - 07966 426 795 PS: I forgot to add that I have bet £20,000 at 11/10 on Newcastle in tomorrow'a match. Those who have lost on AVN (and will lose more if still invested) are advised to do the same. | ![]() simon cawkwell
25/2/2011 15:45 | So far there,s nothing from EK/SC on the t1ps site - perhaps TW has had to run it past his legal team - it normally gets posted up at lunch time. | colva
25/2/2011 15:41 | standish11 That's what I thought. He was referring to his buys on wednesday. I just hadn't seen any reference to buys yesterday on the site and thought I might have missed something. | ![]() argy2
25/2/2011 15:40 | Next week is march :-) That is when it is all going to start happening. | ![]() restassured
25/2/2011 15:38 | ARGY2 The reference to the Tips Growth Fund purchase was included in TW's hblog on the Sharecrazy site at 5.29am yesterday .As no copyright restrictions apparently apply being a non subscription site relevant extract is.... 25/2/2011 15:35 | In for a few more today. On the balance of evidence the director buying is very encouraging ( I may, of course, be wrong in the assumption that they know more and understand thier business model better than SC) | dunluce
25/2/2011 15:24 | Anyone know what the RSI on this is? | ![]() restassured
25/2/2011 15:04 | They have every reason to be annoyed and I still say it was all started right after the launch when this BB had an influx of new posters who suddenly appeared with talk of a new technology that was going to make AVN's redundant led by.......... most of the regulars know who ! | ![]() yorgi |
