FWIW I have spoken today with the company advisors.

The company is extremely annoyed and insists thats everything remains right on target.

The nomad is considering a 'the company have noticed the recent share price movement and are not aware of any change in circumstances that could effect the share price' rns. BUY I have and plenty.

Edit, they are obviously trying the director buy route first.

According to Cenkos an orderly market must be adhered too.

Next weekend the march Techinvest is published.
I suspect they will do a big write as it was one of their tips for the year.

They(the shorts) may have won a battle or two,but the war is far from over.

"Broker Daniel Stewart points to EchoStar's $2bn, including debt, purchase of Hughes Communications as giving an indication of Avanti's true value. Hughes is also involved in Ka band and has bought capacity outside of the US from Avanti. Daniel Stewart reckons that a similar valuation to Hughes would underpin its target price of 2525p a share – still four times the current share price."



Maybe this is the strategy.Freak them out and then buy them out.

How many times have we seen share prices depressed and then taken over?

Bearing in mind these are very long term contracts.

That would rock the boat.

The shorts would certainly wake up to "ring sting" on a monday morning.

Avanti Communications Group plc (AIM: AVN), the broadband satellite operator, was today notified by David Bestwick, Director, that he had purchased 30,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 504 pence per ordinary share. David Bestwick now holds a total direct and indirect voting right interest in 1,201,648 ordinary shares in the Company, being approximately 1.5% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Mr Bestwick has a further revocable and indirect interest in 430,202 shares under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan which are subject to certain criteria.



The Company was also notified today by David Williams, Chief Executive, that he had purchased 20,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 504 pence per ordinary share. David Williams now holds a total direct and indirect voting right interest in 1,525,072 ordinary shares in the Company, being approximately 1.9% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Mr Williams has a further revocable and indirect interest in 522,233 ordinary shares under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan which are subject to certain criteria.

Yes, AVN is but not sure LSE site or feed to ADVFN is quite right. My monitor still showing a lot still closed !
