Oh right thanks restassured, mind you thought as much they would want to undermine the directors buying I expect, if its illegal the regulators should have a look, disinformation, wrong analysis, illegal shorts, something funny going on here

Well it is really up to our management to notify the regulators, but whether that will make any difference I some how doubt

No idea Malcolmmm.....I've only just got back in and on line. Perhaps that was all they could sell at a time on line without phoning

Someone selling in lots of 562 shares, seems strange, about 13 of them, why would anyone do that?

yes yorgi a no-brainer imo, sorry for ramp, also SC is shorting BPC on which he was long a few weeks ago so he can change his mind quite quickly,BPC has been givern lots of broker buys. it's all about making a buck where you can I expect, in the short or long term.

Shorters will take seriously the director buys of £550,000 and nervous holders will also be reassured.Director buys usually mean that good news (if you are long) is on the way

Edging on back up again now.

I have not followed him that much Robhammers but I'm quite sure your right.

Until we have some contract wins RNS's and in service RNS it will be a battle between the shorters and those seeing what a steal we are at this price and follow the directors lead and buy or add to their holding.

Volvo

I agree that it is not always the case that they are right.

On this occasion I really do believe they are correct and so much so that I have added considerably (for me). One of my sons, who is an expert in this field, assures me that what the 'shorters' are stating is utter tosh. Each to their own.

Orado if you have been trading long enough you will know that director buys are not always a sign of confidence.

I watched the Connaught boss and directors buy 2.5m pounds worth of share and within 5 months the company was bust.

Although I think you are right here.

Directors would not be buying in such volume if they were not 100% sure.
At these prices it is a no brainer.
Have added a further 25,000 myself in the last couple of trading days.

A genius or just an perpetual loser?

Simon Cawkwell - 25 Feb'11 - 16:15 - 3678 of 3772

Gentlemen,

I am sorry not to have submitted copy today but I am in the West Indies for a short break and about to go out to lunch. My view of AVN has not changed.

Simon Cawkwell - 07966 426 795

PS: I forgot to add that I have bet £20,000 at 11/10 on Newcastle in tomorrow'a match. Those who have lost on AVN (and will lose more if still invested) are advised to do the same.

Superg1 makes a good point about this share rising on expectation, and it is a very valid point. Of course this share has risen significantly on expectation alone. After all in valuing any business, you would look at it's discounted future cash flows, and at the moment, there really are none to talk about.

However, that does not mean that the company is not going to deliver on it's expectations, in part it has all ready done so. Also, the expectations have not finished, we still have the go live, Hylas 2 & 3 and contract news over the next 2 years. By it's very nature, if the company continues to deliver on the expectations, I can see no reason why we will not see a steady rise over a 2 year basis. In that regard, I can see no logic behind shorting it.

But each to their own.

You get the impression that the Directors are all scratching around for every spare penny they have to buy more shares at these bargain levels ;o)
