Anglo Pacific Group Completion of Narrabri thermal coal royalty sale

APF is pleased to announce the completion of the sale of its 1% gross revenue royalty over the Narrabri mine to the operator, Whitehaven Coal Limited for consideration of up to $36m. The consideration is structured as fixed payments totalling $21.6m and contingent payments which could generate a further $14m. The fixed payments are to be received in instalments until 31 December 2026, of which $13m will be received within the next 18 months.

The Group will release its Q4 2021 trading update in January 2022, which will include further details on the Chief Executive Officer transition.

As we look forward to a record q4 result i would like to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year.Looking forward if coking coal can stay in the higher royalty band debt will be payed down at a rate of knots.JT will leave the company well set and as with others on here i feel the new ceo will have little to do for the next couple years. As always GLA

#Cocopops, APF will not be buying any new royalties/streams while prices are so high, they buy at the bottom of a cycle and wait 5/10 years for them to unfold..

I see us smashing debt down, cranking out dividends and taking up the existing options already set in motion at Incoa and BRN Piaui, this is all we need to do for a couple of years now, unless a distressed seller of something is just too good to back away from..?

I think the lithium boat may have sailed for the time being, given current prices. That doesn’t mean to say that APF won’t invest in lithium but I think we are more likely to see investments in other metals and more being put into the existing portfolio.

Can’t understand the fuss being made by some of the media about JT selling down. He is the outgoing CEO and they have not acknowledged that. Obviously investors will have some expectation about the new CEO in this regard.

IMHO I think the Q4 income will see the share price rise to £1.40/£1.50 in the new year. The share price challenge for the new CEO will be building upon this, especially as Kestrel winds down in 2023. Merry Christmas to one and all!😎

Interesting to see ganfeng take a 9% stake in Zinnwald, as announced this morning.

Would be great to see APF get into Lithium given the chronic supply shortages that have already started to kick in and forecast to get worse in the next few years.

Valuations of ZNWD and EMH have diverged of late from the very strong lithium price

I meant from when he announced he was leaving but a c.5% drop since he started selling, which pretty much equates to dividends received during that period, is hardly a disaster either.Weak since the summer, yes I suppose or up over 33% for the year plus significant dividends (and up or down on various random timescales). Pretty happy with the 12 month returns and would be very pleased for the same again in '22

Gone up? Really. Don't follow that..

The first of several similar RNS's detailing selling by the same party appeared on 30/6/21 when the price was 140p.

Today around 134p.

That's not going up in my book.

The share price has been weak since summer.

So he has sold c.25% of his holding which may be broadly all he is planning to sell and during that period the share price has gone up. Seems pretty bullish to me & the two NED buys are great to see.

Cheers 1knockerRegarding lithium I've just sold out of BCN (Bacanora Lithium) following a Chinese takeover of which I strongly disapproved both from a geopolitical and low price point of view.Friend of mine kept telling me to buy IRR (Ironridge) and this has now split into two companies one of which is a pure lithium play namely ALL. I haven't researched it but you and others here might want to. I have no holding in it atm.So much for my statement in my previous post about not going ot but it is a pleasure to respond to someone who has responded positively to my request for a viewpoint.

Thanks for the thoughts on Trident (and others) folks. Much appreciated. Holding is fairly modest atm but would be looking to add if only my portfolio wasn't already massively skewed to the mining sector where there's quite a few other tempting targets/top ups atm.Last ot post for the time being.

#LLB I think we will see a rise and fall for the reasons you say. Happy to ride both out for the divi, however if I get the opportunity to average down I will do. Hopefully ACP and EML will keep me busy in 2022! 😎

With a potential overhang of millions of shares, anyone is brave to top up.

Until the overhang is cleared, I see little prospect of the share making significant gains.

all imo. dyor.

#Cocopops, just a bit.. :o), I seem to recall I was on 175p..?, but as the income picks up and is demonstrated through results from Q4/Q1/Q2/H1 I still expect to see that number come into view, worst case its a 6% + a FY bonus dividend to sit and watch..

Kestrel will start to step down from Q4-2022 or Q1-2023 and this is a drag on the SP, but VB income is ramping up, BRN is starting to add from next year, Incoa from H2-2022 as tranche2 is executed, and our new CEO is inbound tbc sometime in Q1.

#LLB looks like our year-end share price predictions were way off. I was at £1.60! Still, more opportunity to top-up the ISA in April if it stays range-bound here. Surprised at the AAZ RNS btw!

A new development at Noront resources at the Chromite ring of fire royalty:

PERTH, Australia, Dec. 21, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wyloo Metals Pty Ltd (“Wyloo Metals”) has reached an agreement with the Board of Directors of Noront Resources Ltd. (TSXV: NOT, “Noront”), which has unanimously determined that the Wyloo Metals offer (the “Revised Wyloo Offer”) is superior to the offer previously made by BHP Western Mining Resources International Pty Ltd (“BHP”).

So we can watch Wyloo advance projects there not BHP...

Husbod, no, I have not looked into Trident. It sounds as though I ought to. Lithium is interesting, but I am still mulling over how to play it, as I do not much like ALB.

I have opened modest positions in Nomad and Gold Royalty Corp this year, to complement my established royalty portfolio of Wheaton, Royal Gold, and the big daddy Franco Nevada. It is becoming quite a crowded field, with plenty to choose from. I guess that is in part because PM miners have been so depressed for so long, and so many got their fingers burned when last they were flavour of the month and capital easy to come by that they are not finding financing easy this time round, so it is a cash providers' market for the royalty companies - they seem to have no problem raising cash!

I also bought Cameco early this year., which is now up 80% plus a modest dividend. It seems to me that nuclear is the way the world has to go, and uranium has the great attraction that at almost any price it is only a very small element of total nuclear generation costs, so thee will not be much price push back from users. Their concern is security of supply, not price. I am keeping an eye on Yellow cake to, and hope it will dip a bit further.

I hold both (as well as many other royalty companies). I've held Trident since IPO and believe the future is very bright there. Hungry management team, ex-Glencore Chairman and clearly a good relationship with Orion - given the three deals that have been sourced through that particular channel. Fully expecting the next deal to come from that direction too within the next few weeks hopefully. I think they fill an interesting niche. APF have the ability to pick up a diversified range of assets too, but have in the past shied away from precious metals to a large extent. Trident have been opportunistic on the PM front and have acquired a good looking portfolio in that regard. The Thacker Pass lithium asset is clearly a tier 1 asset and, assuming all goes to plan, will provide Trident with double digit millions for many decades.

#tommygriff, most likely the DRIPs yes.., mine have not landed yet but it does seem to be accelerating as dividends land and get rolled back in … :o)

Also - 22.12.2021 - A person Closely Associated ("PCA") with Mr. Robert Stan, Non-Executive Director of Anglo Pacific. On 20 December 2021, Spruce Bluff Resources Limited, acquired 36,500 ordinary shares of 2 pence each in the Company ("Shares") at an average approximate price of 128.57p per share.
