BH - one could change until kingdom come but the fact of the matter is only the people here already read this thread - it's a fan club, no more. Some think advfn comments influences the market - sad really.

Something for the header? From the interim statement in August:

62% of the Group's asset value is derived from battery materials (31 December 2020: 22%) with coal exposure reducing 19% (31 December 2020: 33%) with a complete exit from thermal coal effective 31 December 2021

Glad that worked John, far better to have a thread title not including the word Coal. I don't think I would have even mentioned it in the first sentence as "APF is transitioning to a portfolio focused on "green" related and energy/industrial metals" would sound better.

#The Deacon, good find, I was looking for the VB production numbers but Vale seem to have changed their format for Q3-2021 due to stoppages at Sudbury and so they quote a combined 452 tonnes for the quarter..

However, with Wheaton reporting their 42.4% stream at 371,000 lbs / 168 tonnes that puts VB Cobalt at 397 tonnes full production for Q3, so our slice of the stream was 90.6 tonnes, but we received USD5.16M income so must have taken a few extra deliveries which we now know were carried over from Q2..

VB FY 2020 1,592 tonnes
VB Q1-2021 476 tonnes
VB Q2-2021 463 tonnes
VB Q3-2021 397 tonnes

So FY 2021 should be nearer 1,800 tonnes as the underground mines increase production towards the 2,600 tonnes, [edit] the approximate USD2BN project will secure the future of mining in Voiseys Bay providing access to two separate underground deposits, Reid Brook and Eastern Deeps. In June 2021 the project hit an important milestone when the first ore was mined at the Reid Brook deposit, the expansion is on track to be completed in 2022.. :o)

The ramp up should be full scale 2023 just as Kestrel winds off, and at current Cobalt prices that puts the APF VB income stand alone at USD34M neatly taking care of a large slice of lost met coal income..

Looking forward at FY2021 we are on target to see USD70M+ income.
2022 has all the potential for another USD70M+ (with upside from Cobalt pricing)
2023 with half of Kestrel, but full scale from VB, income level could continue
2024/2025 BRN Piaui should kick in too at full size from the additional royalty at 4.25%....

[edit] Cobalt now 59,000 and next stop 60K...!

Wheaton reported on Voiseys Bay yesterday:Voisey's Bay: In the third quarter of 2021, the Voisey's Bay mine produced 371,000 pounds of attributable cobalt. As at the end of the third quarter 2021, approximately 488,000 pounds of cobalt were held in inventory by Wheaton and 638,000 pounds were produced but not yet delivered. As per Vale's Third Quarter 2021 Performance Report, physical completion of the Voisey's Bay underground mine extension, which includes developing two underground mines - Reid Brook and Eastern Deeps - was 70% at the end of the third quarter.

Interesting article posted by Gizmohican on amc thread..... relevant to APF for all the reasons we know....Nickel and cobalt may need 20-times current production to meet demand - Pallinghurst GroupNov 03, 2021Guest(s): Sean Thijsse Group Head of Corporate Finance at Pallinghurst Group. To meet anticipated battery material demand, Sean Thijsse at Pallinghurst Group has seen multiples as high as 20-times current demand for graphite, nickel and cobalt; and lithium with multiples as high as 40-times current demand.Thijsse is Group Head of Corporate Finance at Pallinghurst Group. He spoke to Kitco on Monday. Pallinghurst Group invests in metals and mining with a focus on battery materials.“When you compare that to today’s production, that is ... (read more)

APF is transitioning away from coal royalties in Australia to a portfolio focused on "green" related and energy/industrial metals. Anglo Pacific is aiming to become a leading natural resources company through investing in high-quality projects in preferred jurisdictions with trusted counter-parties, underpinned by strong ESG principles. With a diverse portfolio of assets in well established mining jurisdictions and a strong balance sheet to fund new acquisitions, it has a good base from which to grow. Its strategy is to build on its portfolio of royalties and metal streams, focusing on accelerating income growth through acquiring royalties in cash or near-term cash producing assets, as well as investment in earlier stage royalties.

It is a continuing policy of the Company to pay a substantial portion of these royalties to shareholders as dividends

I was going to create a new thread, but then saw that john had the header fully up to date. So I'll leave it and let john start a new thread.

Gotta get that word "Coal" out of the header!

The best idea would be for johnrxx99 to create a new thread with a more up to date name and then cut and paste the thread header here to the new thread with a redirect link in this thread's header.

In answer to the question above, it's not possible to edit titles to ADVFN's thread.

But it looks like johnrxx99 has kept the header up to date.

Surely there should be a new thread now given the divestment of coal and significant change in emphasis - or is it possible to amend the title of this thread to reflect the new reality?
