08/10/2020 13:47 | Guys, I made very large lump of money out of AMC in 2015. The share price jumped from around 8P to 44p. Yes it was a multi bagger for me then. My average is just below 3P now but I do hold a big chunk of shares there. The only way now IMHO is up. NAI ofcourse. ATB | ![]() bwana4

08/10/2020 13:04 | maybe 40306 should be edited in case anyone gets the wrong idea | zangdook
08/10/2020 13:03 | Yep I have also bought the ticket Bwana and hope we are on a roll now. Patience does pay, my ARS position finally came good today, started buying in the 6-9p area last year only to watch the shares tumble. Bought heavily in the 1-3p area over the last 6 months and a great heads of terms agreed today which lifts me into a good profit. Looking for 7+ now with a rising copper price. | ![]() fozzie
08/10/2020 12:59 | B4 Loaded up in AMC 1.1m tucked away for a future profit. [i hope] | ![]() avsome1968

08/10/2020 12:21 | The capital gain on the shares is tax-free. I wonder how the dividend is treated? | ![]() klosters65
08/10/2020 12:18 | @Katsy - yes, if you are short on a SB or CFD. | ![]() polaris
08/10/2020 12:18 | IG convert at the exchange rate of today and will credit straight away when the share goes ex-div. I've held here for some time and picked up quite a few divis on AAZ now this way. The difference is a few quid either way as it very much depends on the for-ex trading range in the week that AAZ decide the conversion rate cf. that on the day of ex-divi. | ![]() polaris
08/10/2020 12:17 | So I assume anybody short will have a bill to pay for the value of the dividends? | ![]() katsy
08/10/2020 12:08 | gutterhead, with a betting account, you won't actually get the divi, but the bookie knowing the divi money is guaranteed will credit the account with the extra money, no doubt charging a small fee? | ![]() lefrene
08/10/2020 12:06 | How do you get dividends three weeks before the co have paid them? | ![]() gutterhead
08/10/2020 11:34 | Guys,I think it is time to pay attention to AMC now. DYOR and NAI. It is my second largest holding in my portfolio. Today's news is excellent news for me. I have been a holder for over 12 years there. Feel free to ask any sensible questions. ATB.👍㈴ | ![]() bwana4
08/10/2020 11:29 | Wan,RNS out at AMC.No more share dilution there any more. IMHO. DYOR etc. | ![]() bwana4
08/10/2020 11:23 | My shares are held in a spread betting account. Dividends deposited yesterday. So if there is a small bout of selling I am in the fortunate position of being able to take advantage. | ![]() klosters65
08/10/2020 11:23 | interesting snippet form SPA this morning. Don't recall ever hearing this sort of thing before. Presumably N.Ireland and Eire will have similar views: "British miners receive £5m in research and development tax credits • HMRC report that British mining and quarrying firms received £5m in tax credits for R&D projects last year. • The funds are targeted towards new technological innovation. • Figures show UK mine production fell to 2.6mt from 11.6mt between 2014 and 2018 with the value of this production falling to £160m from £390m. • The UK government is keen to encourage further R&D and development in the mining space and sound keen to support miners in their efforts to reopen and start new mines." | ![]() mattjos
08/10/2020 11:10 | Apologies I though tomorrow was ex-div date. my bad. | ![]() katsy
08/10/2020 10:56 | An interim dividend, in respect of the year ending 31 December 2020, of US 4.5 cents per ordinary share will be paid gross on 5 November 2020 to shareholders that are on the shareholders record at the record date of 9 October 2020. The shares will go ex-dividend on 8 October 2020. | ![]() king suarez
08/10/2020 10:54 | The ex-date or ex-dividend date is the trading date on (and after) which the dividend is not owed to a new buyer of the stock. The ex-date is one business day before the date of record. The date of record is the day on which the company checks its records to identify shareholders of the company. An investor must be listed on that date to be eligible for a dividend payout. | ![]() king suarez |
