"It's a tragedy. We are very worried. People living in Arm, Az and NK are not strangers for us. There are 2+ million Armenians and Azeris living in Russia. Many Russians have friendly relations with 2 republics. It's a big tragedy. People are dying. Great losses on both sides...
We hope this conflict will stop very soon. But if it does not, and it looks like it could continue for a while, we reiterate that we call for a ceasefire, and as soon as possible.
Armenia is a member of the CSTO, we have specific commitments towards Armenia within this agreement. But fighting is not taking place in Armenia. As for Russia's commitments within the CSTO, we have always fulfilled our obligations and will continue to do so.
I am in touch with Armenia's PM and there are no questions on Armenia's part regarding Russia fulfilling its obligations."

I mentioned MXCT a little while back and have been steadily dripping funds in, especially on recent the little dip there was, the chart is beautiful since May apart from that. It supplies gene editing machines and has had a wee spike up today, nice to cheer me up after DDDD. There is a good write up by Questor in the Telegraph worth a read. They are based in Maryland and for some reason listed on the AIM I am hoping for a NASDAQ listing next year to really make this fly.

“It sounds like science fiction but it’s being done now.” The company we feature this week facilitates the editing, outside the body, of the genes of sufferers of various rare diseases and their reinsertion into the body....
The multiple ways in which it makes money from these machines caught our eye. Some is made from the initial sale to drug firms, but it then receives “milestone” payments as the treatment goes through the various stages of approval.
Finally it should start to receive a royalty on the eventual sale of any successful drugs, although this is still about five years away.
“Currently the dominant revenue source, $20m-$25m a year, is machine sales,” said Mr Penny. “Milestone payments are starting to come through and will become dominant. The firm has said if all its partner companies’ treatments succeeded it would make about $800m from milestone payments. In fact you’d expect 20-30 to get approved.”
Some should be “potential blockbusters”, he added......

Fuji AAZ has been giving p.i’s the opportunity to get in at cheap levels for many years compared to peers; degree of country risk has long been baked in I.m.o

See Arb not really tracking btc today Wan.

Putin called the Azerbaijan president today.

The Armenian prime minister said that they would be prepared to make concessions but that they expected the same from Azerbaijan.

Still lots of fighting though.

Nice steady rise today. Could be back to 140p very quickly unless there is a significant worsening on the fronts.

If one compares AAZ PE ratio with other PM stocks it is the cheapest.
AAZ (9)--- SEB (20)--- POLY (21)--- CEY (26)--- HOC (31) and FRES (59).
The share price should be at least over £2 as it also gives a dividend. IMO this transient conflict gave many PI's the best opportunity to enter at very cheap levels. Could become one of the best gold stock to hold for the long term especially when new exploration areas are formalised.

UK stocks are soo frustrating, seem to constantly be looking to go down as opposed to US stocks that always seem to want to go up, it's like a default setting.

Turkey seem to be the ones driving this via the Azeris and that is the difference this time a takeover of NK seems to be a desirable result for the new Ottoman Empire builders as it takes out a piece of influence the Russians have over the area, read a bit of the politics yesterday of why the NK dispute is never resolved as it benefits the Russian defense of its borders very interesting. Without the Turks backing I dont think Azeris would have done this hence the Turkish stance stating there has been no result in all the years of discussing the problem and Azeris should get NK back as being the only result of the current dispute.

pogue - I don't think they will transform that region into another Syria if all three are involved. Regarding the conflict, it is far away from AAZ operations: " There has been no impact on Anglo Asian's operations. Its office in Baku and operations at Gedabek continue to function as normal.
The reported hostilities are in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and have never affected the mountainous Armenian border area near the Company's mining and processing" operations.
